For repair, parts, or a great candidate for a swap. With a deteriorated radiator, the engine overheated on a hot Arizona summer day in 2015. It continued to run for several more months, gradually running more and more poorly, but not showing the tell-tale sign of mixed oil and coolant. Finally, coolant showed up on the oil dipstick, and I stopped driving it. Much later, I removed the cylinder head to determine the extent of damage. Although not "rusted together'" there is significant rust, most notably in the cylinders. So, it will either need the original engine rebuilt, swapped with another 1.0, or maybe something with a little more power, your choice. Not perfect, but a very nice aluminum body (zoom in to see scratches and dings). Broken passenger mirror, typical wear spot on driver seat, and some dirty spots on the interior. I'm the 2nd owner, purchased 3-31-14 from the original owner who used it to commute into Washington, D.C. from Virginia. I brought it to AZ when I moved in 8-2014. IMA and check engine light were starting to come on back when it was being driven regularly. From what I've read, those lights together, along with the time it has been sitting are bad news for the IMA battery pack. Typical Insight weak syncronizer(s), especially 2nd gear which liked to "pop out" when releasing the gas pedal if you didn't have your hand resting on the gearshift at the time. Will need new tires soon. Engine is mostly disassembled, but complete. A/C has not been discharged. Maintenance records since new! I can probably deliver it up to about 300 miles for a fee.
