Vehicle Detail
1967 Toyota FJ45LV Land Cruiser Wagon For sale is a very rare 1967 FJ45LV. I have owned this FJ45 for the past 21 years. For many of those years it was my daily driver. This might be the most reliable vehicle I have ever owned. It has always started, even on many 20 below degree Montana winter mornings and never left me on the side of the road. It looks just about the way it looked when I purchased it. The previous owner had gone through the engine and must have done a good job; it has always started, doesn’t use oil and runs quiet. It came with a non-Toyota air cleaner, non-Toyota side mirrors and cracks on the passenger side of the windshield. I upgraded the ignition to electronic ignition but I have the original points and coil. Over the past 12 months I have replaced the started, wheel bearings, brake master cylinder and did a rebuild on the carburetor. Known issues are the turn signal switch and dimmer switch need to be replaced (new switches included) and the switch for the fuel level needs to be replaced. Many parts come with the 45 that I have accumulated over the years: *dimmer switch (new) *turn signal switch (new) *heater blower *heater vent *heater hoses *heater control *courtesy light and switch *master cylinder *carburetor *wheel bearings *instrument cluster *starter *ignition switch *points *coil *windshield wipers *lug wrench It has (as pictured) the usually missing and hard to find folding second seat. The tires are very good with a lot of miles left. This is one of 5000 built between 1963-67 and one of less than 100 known to exist. I believe the original color was white on red. Everyone that sees this FJ45 smiles and it is a head turner even in its patina state. It is not restored. It has been regularly serviced and maintained during the years that I have owned it. There was a little rust forming where the front seat lap belt bolts go through the floor and that was repaired. A new roof liner backer was installed and new door panel backers are included. The pictures show the condition. Basically it is dent and ding free. There are two slight dings on the hood where the hood must have hit the roof drip at one time but that was before I purchased it. A fully restored 1967 FJ45LV sold at Mecum Auction in August 2015 for $180,000.00. This is not a restored vehicle and is 51 years old but it shows the potential that a vehicle like this has. It rides down the road comfortably and will climb a wall if asked to. I have driven it many times through knee-deep snow and have not found a 4-wheel drive mountain road that would stop it. The truck is being sold “as is” with no warranty expressed or implied. The FJ45 is being sold locally so the auction can be stopped at any time. Whether won by auction or purchased at the “buy it now” price, a $2000.00 deposit is due immediately with the balance due in 7 days from the end of auction or purchase date paid by Cash or Cashier’s Check. Under no condition will the vehicle be released before funds clear. I will help (within reason) to meet the shipping company if one is used. Shipping arrangements and shipping fees are the responsibility of the winning bidder or purchaser. By bidding on this vehicle or purchasing it you are agreeing to the above as a contract. I know that you will enjoy this truck as much as I have.
