Vehicle Detail
2 Door Denali Chevrolet Diesel Tahoe Yukon Greasecar WVO Vegetable Oil Chevy I WOULD depend on this to drive me home if you're from out of state. I just drove this 1,000 miles from Montana to Arizona last month in the snow, down to the desert! This is a very unique vehicle. It started out as a GMC 1996 2 Door Yukon (Tahoe). It now looks like a 1st generation, 200/2001 Yukon Denali in the unreleased 2-Door configuration! It also has been modified with the following: Custom 2-door (200-2001) Denali cladding, custom installed (not available from factory)Front, straight axle conversion, 8-lugNew heads and head gasket replacement job completed about 5,000 miles agoBRAND NEW heads were added from a North American casting foundry, not Chinese for the thicker, non-cracking 6.5L Diesel heads.Engine Replaced at 130,000 original miles. Engine has about 170,000 miles on it.Fuel lines replaced at 216,000 miles with in-line fuel filter under chassisNEW Marine injectors installed at about 216,000 milesInjection Pump rebuilt at about 216,000 milesPump Mounted Driver (PMD) electronics relocation kit installedBRAND NEW Radiator installed this week, 10 miles ago.Transfer Case replaced at about 7 thousand miles ago8-lug axles3/4 ton rear axle addedCustom interior from 2000/2001 Denali12" Subwoofers, DVD system, amplifier system added. Two, 7" LCD Tv Screen installed in driver's and passenger's headrests.7" LCD Tv screen installed into passenger side airbag area.Custom, swing away, rear tire carrier added from H2 HummerGREASECAR waste vegetable oil (WVO) / Straight Vegetable Oil (SVO) system added. This allows the diesel system to run on cooking oil / vegetable oils with the push of a button.40 gallon auxiliary vegetable oil tank addedAuxiliary in-line fuel heater - winterized fuel system added, for sub-zero winter driving on greaseWaste oil, suction retrieval system (needs troubleshooting)Waste oil, on board filtration system (needs troubleshooting)Viper Car Alarm and Keyless entry (not responding) Details: Air conditioning system compressor works and cycles, but appears to need to be charged with refrigerant. Truck has some rust. Some dents, dings, blemishes present. Rust present at driver's side rear door. Bottom latch does not latch as it was removed due to said rust (doesn't matter as the top of that door latches) and the passenger door latches closed too. Radio powers on but no sound - I believe this to be because the amplifier wont power up. Wiring is positive to the amplifier but the amp does not respond so probably needs to be replaced. This is believed to be an easy fix. Cruise control doesn't seem to work. Right rear view mirror is cracked. When the stereo is on, it bumps HARD! Greasecar system is disconnected / disabled. This was a company vehicle that showcased and demonstrated the use of vegetable oil and diesels as fuel with an onboard oil suction system that retrieved oil from donor restaurants that gave cooking oil away for free. Further, this also had an onboard heated, filtration system that could filter oil while on the go, and then discharge the filtered oil into the vehicle. The waste vegetable oil system is manufactured by Greasecar.com and I have the instructions that came with it so you can re-attached and troubleshoot the system. It is detached and untested in several years, so I cannot guarantee its functionality. The system alone was $2450 without install! There is a small diesel odor in the cabin due to the auxiliary tank venting into the cabin. Normally this does not smell because it had odorless vegetable oil in the tank, but it recently had diesel in it, so you can smell it a bit. This can be easily remedied. Lastly, it has a restored / salvage title as it broke an axle 5 years ago and the insurance company wanted to write it off, so we just bought it back from the insurance company and repaired the axle. Being that it had a Chevrolet 3/4 ton axle added there anyway, in place of it's original 1/2 ton axle, it was no big deal. So that's the story behind the restored / salvage title. This is a very rare and one of a kind truck. It has a ton of custom stuff added to it as was once a company showcase vehicle let alone being diesel, which GMC only made 1.5% of their Yukon / Tahoe's with that fuel option. It needs some love and care overall due to its age and its wear and tear. If you have any other questions or would want more pictures, simply message me and I can give you more details. Potential bidders / buyers are encouraged to inspect the vehicle. If you wish to have the vehicle shipped, it will generally cost about $800-$1200 going to the east coast from here in Arizona, and cheaper to the west coast. $500, non refundable deposit required immediately from winner via PayPal. Vehicle sold as is, where is. Happy Bidding!
