Up for auction is my 1963 Cadillac Fleetwood Sixty Special Sedan. This particular Caddy is all original except for exterior paint which was redone many years ago in the correct 1963 color Cardiff Gray Metallic. It has the original Calif. Black license plates on it which enhances the value of the antique vehicle. The old girl starts up right away and she runs very smooth and quiet. The 3 speed Hydramatic transmission shifts fine. The shifts are virtually undetectable. On the Highway it cruises along with plenty of power. Very quiet at highway speeds with no vibrations pulling or wandering .Front end feels tight and precise.. Engine runs very quiet ,no oil burning Very small amount of oil leaking onto exhaust manifold (needs valve cover gaskets). Outside the body is perfectly straight, no dents, dings or scraps. The paint is only fair with oxidation (dulling hazing ) on the trunk lid. The padded black Tuxedo grain vinyl covered roof appears to be original but can't verify that. Vinyl is cracking everywhere but no water is getting under it The minor rust areas are on the sides of the roof (sail panels) just above the chrome belt moulding. A very typical and common rust area on all these models if they have the vinyl top option. There is some pitting on the outside chrome door handles. Some pitting on the chrome upper window frames.The rest of the chrome is in very good shape including bumpers and all stainless steel trim. There is absolutely no rust through on the outer pods of the front bumper ,another very common rust through area seen on many '63's '64's.Theinterior is all original & very nice cond.
