I am selling our 1984 Jeep CJ7. This CJ7 base model has a solid body & frame virtually rust free with the exception of rock pecks on the front fenders and small 6" scrape that photos that show the minor surface rust. The underside is clean and has been maintained over the years, at one time coated with the black undercarriage paint to prevent rust. The jeep looks good for its age and it runs well & drives well (not to think it rides like a Denali, it is a jeep). It has the 4.2 L I-6 with 4 speed manual & 4x4. I got this jeep for my daughter after she begged / wanted a jeep like her friends. She then figures out its from the 80's (even though it's the bullet proof steel body CJ that never says quit) now it's to old, no ac,she wants automatic etc...you can picture the rest. All gauges work, switches and shows actual mileage as 92,689 with working odometer. I can only assume this is the actual mileage since it still functions and has not hit the 100k mark to roll over. The body is all original steel, thats in good condition, pictures show minor surface blemishes on the driver rear fender and front fender. The overall jeep has normal wear for being an 84 model. The engine seems to be solid, no smoke, runs well has plenty of power and torque for a 4.2l inline 6. No visible leaks front or rear, as it sits in the photos is where it has been parked and the driveway has stayed clean. Oil change was free of any evidence of water or metal wear etc. Upgrades to the engine include, new radiator, distributer system and previous owner had clutch and brakes reworked. Interior is in good condition for the age, one small hole in the rear seat, roll bar pads look new, dash is in good shape with one small crack in the tuck point that can be a quick fix with vinyl dash patch. I haven't had it off road only (no 4wd used or switched in since I got it) in town and parking lot trying to teach the new driver how to operate a standard. Steering is tight and as mentioned it will move out for a jeep with the 4 speed. Tires have good tread but you will need some in the future due to age of tires, rims are good but need a good steel wool cleaning. It comes with the hard top installed as when I got it and it is in good shape there is no soft top but full door/top kits are listed on eBay for $400 for summer use if new buyer wants to pull the hardtop, there is one small place on rear corner on the top that has been touched up (palm sized area where something scraped the top). It also comes with a fitted console that has the lock and original key. There is a 6000# witch installed with remote that works great along with off-road led light bar / led side lights connected to a toggle switch under the dash. The jeeps lights and fog lights have been swapped out with led units from a 2015 Rubicon. These work awesome give off huge amount of light and look great. High and low beam work normally and all signal, tail, stop lights function properly. Carpet has been removed over the years and it has the black spray rubber material showing that was under the carpet Items needed: Windshield is cracked on drivers side and will need to be replaced. Windshield wiper blades had been removed and will need to be purchased and reinstalled. Factory radio had been replaced with aftermarket and this was pulled prior to me purchasing the jeep.
