With a rather heavy heart, I'm listing this absolutely gorgeous 1982 metallic Gold corvette. An eBay friend of mine kindly pointed out to me how rare the color is. He found there were only 648 cars made in the gold color out of 25,000 cars produced in 1982. Important: please review all pictures and videos, as well as read through the description thoroughly and if at all possible, come see and inspect and drive the car for yourself . This way you are able to make a well informed decision on your possible purchase. I've been offered a teaching position in Germany that I cannot turn down. With all the rules and regulation on emissions controls, Classics and vintage cars in Germany have to be brought to spec, that would devalue the car, and render it no longer original. Lets begin. I'm not mechanically minded at all, but I am an Absolute perfectionist and I want to drive my cars with peace of mind. This Corvette has been through a mechanical restoration that took almost 8 months. (Please Review All Receipts from Corvette World of Dallas, and Corvette Connection of Denver). The engine is super strong and has a deep growl, very quick! It drives beautifully and shifts smooth. Everything works as it should. The Camel color interior is in very good condition and the seats look new. They had sheepskin covers on the most of their life. I just recently took them off the seats as they were really showing their age. The dash is good, there are two tiny cracks but no warping, please see pics. The carpet is good. The radio works as it should. The tires are like new and rims are excellent. Lights work perfectly. Doors close smooth and tight with absolutely no sagging. The metallic gold paint which changes color in every light, from honey gold, bright gold to Champaign gold is very good and shines beautifully as you can see. There are tiny scratches here and there, but because of the color and the metallic paint they are hard to see. There is one scratch near the left head light thats about 2 inches, Please see pics. I have all documentation for the car including manuals. Milage is 40,897 and given the condition of the car I believe it to be correct. From about 8 feet away the car looks new. Please keep in mind though , this is a 35 year old car, and it is not perfect, but it really is a spectacular Corvette!
