Vehicle Detail
For sale is my 1974 Honda CB200E Cafe style motocycle with 14,294 original miles. Please read entire listing before making your decision as to bid. I found this bike parked in a shed back in February 2015. It had last been ridden in 1980 before parked. I brought the bike home, lubed all moving parts, and put air in the tires. The engine was stuck. I added a small amount of Marvel Mystery oil to the cylinders and the next day it was free. I had the gas tank cleaned and coated, changed the oil, new spark plugs, rebuilt the carburetors with oem Honda kits, installed a new battery. At that time I checked and all the lights, signals, and horn worked perfectly. Added gas and hit the starter button. The bike fired up and ran like it had just been ridden the day before. I rode it around the area a couple days to see how it would do and it was fine. At that time I decided to complete a cafe build. Heres what I did. New tires and tubes, new battery, carburetor rebuilds, new gas lines, spark plugs, new gas tank rubber grometts, points cover gasket, gas tank cap gasket, new petcock, new battery strap, new front fork seals and fluid, and new carburetor breather pods. Replaced front and rear rims with beautiful chrome rims from another 200. Had gas tank painted, added clubman handlebars with new oem Honda grips, cat eye turn signals and new rear tail light. The seat is a Tony Hawks skate board that has been cut, turned upside down and covered in black with a green bead. The original mufflers were in bad shape so I took them off, welded a flat washer with a 3/4" hole for back pressure and had a set of short down turn pipes fabrucated for extensions then wrapped them with exhaust wrap. I cut the front fender and placed it under the seat for a hidden rear fender. I removed all unnecessary tags on the frame to clean the look of the bike. The bike runs well. The only thing that might need to be addressed is fine tuning the carbs. I did not re-jet them when I changed exhaust system. Your will also get with the sale the original owners manual, original tool kit, plus a service manual, and the original tail light assembly. There is also a box of spare items to include new points, condenser, carb parts, etc. I have a clear North Carolina title in my name and in my hand. I have entered the bike in the Triad Classic Motorcycle Club show for the past two years. It draws lots of attention. Buyer will be responsible for shipping. I can store the bike in a closed and locked storage area for as long as needed. I require a $200.00 non refundable deposit through Pay Pal at close of sale with the remaining balance before pickup or you may pay entire balance through Pay Pal. This bike is also for sale on the home market so I reserve the right to end this auction if needed. Thanks for looking.
