For sale a 1978 Toyota Land Cruiser BJ40 we named "Naranjada" which means "Orange" in spanish. This is the diesel model that was never introduced in the States! Originally from El Canton de Naranjo en la Provincia de Alajuela in Costa Rica. My uncle and I personally hand pick the best remaining Cruisers in Costa Rica! These diesel cruisers are bullet proof. They are stronger, last forever, and get around 30 mpg. Parts for these engines are easily accessible here in the US. This vehicle is a solid 70% restored. With that said please keep in mind this beauty is almost 40 years old. The paint job was redone and polished with the original red/orange stock color. It has new leather upholstered seats and brand new roof liner. Mechanically this BJ40 is perfect and will crawl through any off road trail! As you can see in the pictures, it does need some minor work but I leave a little for those who want to work on something and help bring this gem to it's full glory that way the price is not over the top and still affordable. **On a side note not any orange seen on the frame or under carriage is 'not' over spray rather just the sun reflecting the paint color** Unlike US models, these vehicles have history. A story of how they were used on coffee plantations to help farms with daily chores or like this specific Cruiser was passed down from generation to generation and well maintained by a family in the countryside. When you purchase one of these vehicles you continue the legacy and special care of this antique treasure. Every vehicle is sold with a framed certificate from Tuanis International Auto Imports. The certificate has the original picture of the vehicle in Costa Rica, vin/ make/ model info and the original CR registration sticker! A keepsake to prove where this rare beauty is originally from!
