The Carmi Illinois Police Department is offering the following vehicle for sale through eBay auction. I am the Chief of Police for the Department and am responsible for selling said vehicle. 2003 Burgundy Cadillac CTS 3.2L V6 with 99,420 miles. This is a Seized/Forfeited Vehicle and has been awarded to The Carmi Illinois Police Department. The Carmi Police Department owns the vehicle and has a clear title to it. The vehicle must be sold according to Illinois law and must be sold in an auction type setting. There is NO buy it now option. We will NOT accept any trades for this vehicle. The vehicle is being sold AS-IS and with NO existing Warranty; neither express nor implied. All sales are final. No price adjustments will be given. No returns will be accepted. This vehicle will be sold to the highest bidder after the Starting Price has been Satisfied. There is no reserve on this vehicle. Positives: The vehicles body/paint are in good condition. The vehicle shows normal wear and tear such as minor scratches and such. NADAGUIDES.COM list the vehicle as follows: Average Trade In=$2500, Clean=$3150, Clean Retail=$4875 The vehicle is a 2WD/RWD, 4-door vehicle, automatic transmission, and uses gasoline. The vehicle is in very good running condition. The vehicle is equipped with lighted mirrors in the visors, adjustable head rests, and tilt steering wheel. The vehicle has a new spare tire with jack all housed in the trunk storage. The vehicle has power doors, windows, locks, mirrors, and driver's seat adjustments. The vehicle has A/C in good working order, heat, AM/FM stereo with CD Player and Cassette player with controls on steering wheel. The vehicle has cruise control with controls on steering wheel. The car has keyless entry w/ remote as well as trunk release w/ remote The vehicle comes with 2 working keyless remotes and keys. The car has a USB port in the front driver compartment The vehicle has leather front bucket seating and leather rear bench seating. Seats are in fair to good condition with no tears observed. All lights, lamps, signals, wipers, accessories are in good working order. The vehicle drives/runs well and has had a fresh oil and filter change. Tires consist of Triangle Talon Sport 225/55R16 and appear to have at least 50-60 % life left. The vehicle has a large trunk for storage with new spare tire and jack Vehicle has several cup holders throughout the vehicle The vehicle is equipped with On-Star capability The vehicle has low mileage for it's age and is relatively clean. This vehicle has been utilized by the City of Carmi for the last 2 years as an undercover car and airport courtesy car. Negatives The vehicle shows normal wear and tear inside. The vehicle DOES have brake issues. It was taken to a dealership after the issues were discovered. The Dealership advised that the Brake Pressure Modulator Valve was leaking brake fluid into the Brake Control Module. Because of this both modules need to be replaced. As a result of the issue the antilock brakes do not work properly and both the antilock brake light and brake light are lit on the dash of the vehicle which can be seen in one of the photographs. The vehicle will need a professional cleaning/detailing on the interior.
