1956 BMW /2 Conversion CLICK HERE FOR START UP VIDEO 1956 BMW /2 Conversion - This /2 has been converted to running a R90/6 engine. It starts right up and runs well. The engine is from a 1974 BMW R90/6 and produces a lot more power than the original 500cc. It was put into this frame with the intention of mounting a sidecar but it never happened. The conversion was done a number of years ago. It has been ridden 8k miles since it was upgraded. The electrical system was upgraded to 12v when the new engine was put it. It had a brand new set of gauges installed at the same time. It is mechanically sound and basically ready to ride. It hasn't been ridden very much at all over the last 5 or so years so it may need a little tinkering but shouldn't need anything major. The cosmetics are not great but it does look cool. It has a nice original patina. There are about 40 pictures which show the cosmetic condition. It is an ideal rider, not show perfect but looks good enough to ride and enjoy.
