Please Read Entire Description Before Bidding. I am including a very detailed description and high quality photos in hopes to eliminate any surprises. I want you to know exactly what you are bidding on. If you have an EBay Feedback score less than 5, please contact me and let me know that you are a human, and you understand that a bid is a contract. 1954 Triumph T110 650 Pre-Unit Triumph Fantastic time machine project bike...parked in an east TN basement since 1972. Basics: This is a 1954 Triumph T110 project bike. The bike is a first year for the swingarm frame, and has a lot of one year only parts, including the pie crust front brake hub, and sport gas tank on the T110. The bike is missing it's correct fenders, I don't have any footpegs for it, the engine is seized, and the tin ware has quite a bit of incorrect hardware. However, the bike is incredibly complete for a machine of its age, and the oil leaks have preserved the overall finish pretty well. History: I purchased this bike from the second owner, who bought the bike in the mid 1960's. He commuted to our local university from 1968-1972, after which he parked the bike in his parents' basement and moved out of state. There it sat until the owner retired back to the family farm and rediscovered his bike in the basement. He told me that he initially parked it after he was showing off and hot-rodding the bike a bit and it began jumping out of second gear. The outer primary cover was off when I found the bike and it is missing some associated hardware. The bike was "personalized" back in the '60's with custom paint, seat cover, tall handlebars, etc., but is overall very complete and original. Good, bad, and ugly: The bike is missing footpegs, air filter, correct fenders, and a few other bits. The hard to find items are all here. The rear fender is from a unit triumph. The engine is seized and will not kick over. The nacelle does not have the original electronics in place. The speedometer numbers appear to have been re-painted by hand, and it is only showing 5 miles, so it is likely not functioning. Much of the frame and related bits are coated with a healthy dose of antique Triumph petro-crud. It looks bad, but is a good preservative. The gas tank has been stripped of it's emblems and parcel grid and the holes were filled when the bike was painted. This is the only year this tank was used on the 650, and many of the other 1954 specific bits are intact. Although not in great condition, there is original paint on the front rim. The front tire won't hold air. There is no generator. The previous owner had only a tail-light wired up and connected to a flashlight lantern battery which he only used at night. There is no headlight bulb, and probably no headlight wiring. I do have a clear Tennessee title in my name and the numbers match on the engine, frame, and title. Overall the bike is very complete and original for a bike of this age. These iron cylinder head swingarm 650's are getting harder to find, especially as complete projects. The 1954 T110 is a special bike being the crossover year to the swingarm and was the fastest model you could buy that year. In 1954 if you wanted to go fast on two wheels, you bought a Triumph T110. I have tried to give a thorough and honest description of this bike, but I'm human and there are possibly details I've missed. Please feel free to ask questions and I will respond as soon as possible. Local inspection is welcome. I'm happy to assist with loading, but shipping, and making shipping arrangements, pricing, etc. is solely the responsibility of the buyer. The motorcycle should be picked up within 14 days of the auction's end. A PayPal Deposit of $500 is required upon the auction's end, and full payment via bank transfer, cashiers check, or cash in person is due within 5 days. I will not accept PayPal for full payment, unless you wish to add 5% to cover the associated fees. Title will be released upon full payment and pickup of the bike. The bike will not be released to a buyer or shipper until full payment has cleared. Bidders with zero feedback and/or an Ebay account less than three months old, please contact me with an intent to bid, or otherwise let me know you are human and understand that a bid is a contract. It does cost time, energy, and money to list things on Ebay and non-paying bidders are often those with zero feedback scores or new accounts. On Aug-29-17 at 08:14:30 PDT, seller added the following information: I found the chain guard for this bike under my work bench and it is included in the auction. There is a photo for reference.
