1981 Mercedes 380SL-Needs restoration. Motor is good however occasionally stalls. NO blue smoke and plenty of power Needs tuneup. Transmission slips but gets a little better when it warms up. My mechanic said that the bands could be adjusted to fix but I can't guarantee the fix. Recently passed NY state inspection so normal things are working like lights, braks, tires etc. Interior needs a total make over. Climate control needs work. No AC and heater works but not 100%. functional. Floors need carpet and padding. Gas pedal needs replacement (have the pedal and can be put on). Dash needs work. Odometor doesn't Stopped working at 539981. Was only driven about 2K a year if that much so I estimate miles at 80k at most. Soft top needs to be replaced. Paint is fairly good but, there are some chips etc, on the finish. Radio doesn't work. Light in glove box is out. Rear wood floor cover needs replacement and there serious rust and a hole on the floor behind the passenger seat. As I said, this car needs restoration but has huge potential.
