Vehicle Detail
First – this is an awesome car. I hate to sell it to a wholesaler although maybe a wholesaler will end up buying it. It is a 1998 Honda Accord Sedan. It was a lease that was turned in with 33,000 miles and now has 97,000. I acquired it in 2001. Two owners including myself. Very well-maintained, serviced regularly at the same Honda dealer in the DC metro area. This is an excellent car that has a lot of miles left in it. A few issues: There is a dent on the passenger side – I scraped a pole in a garageIt was in one accident. An idiot ran a stop sign and bumped the front driver side. This was about two years ago. I took it immediately to the garage. The damage is only cosmetic. There are a few scratches, but nothing deep which would cause rust. I bought it with scratches knowing it would get more which it did because I live in a city.My daughter's car seat was in the rear, center so there is an indentation from the seat. You should be able to see it in the pictures. The AC needs to be charged. It works, but the last time I took it to the dealership, the AC wasn’t as cold as it should be and they said it needed to be charged – about $250. I decided not to do it knowing I was buying another car.Two original keysCharger - I think it's an "old school" cell phone chargerOriginal owner's manualFront and rear matsSpare tire has been untouched as well as jackRecently passed emissions inspectionGarage kept most of its lifeFront tires were replaced a few years ago As I said, it’s an awesome car. If my daughter was of driving age, I would allow her to drive it and would not worry one bit about safety. On Aug-29-17 at 05:15:28 PDT, seller added the following information: I have had a few questions regarding the car. To clarify, in the "item specific" section, this is described as a "manual transmission" which means 5-speed - a stick shift with a clutch. You should be able to see it in the pictures of the interior of the car, but I want to make sure it is clear. If you cannot drive a stick shift, this is not the car for you! The timing belt has not been replaced. The battery is about a year old. The car has had regular maintenance including spark plugs, rotors/break pads less than 2 years ago, clutch replaced in 2012, right axle boot two years ago and two new tires at that time as well as ball joints replaced in 2014. Maintenance has been regular, as specified by Honda meaning it has had oil changes and overall checks for problems when it is in for service at regular intervals. It is a V-tech engine. In sum, it has been well-maintained with regular service, and as I said garage-kept most of its life. Please do not hesitate to ask additional questions. I want to make sure you are making an informed decision.
