Evening. Up for auction is my 2002 C5 Corvette. In my opinion the best of the late Vettes. All the curves, the hidden headlamps, and none of the Transformer styling that the later Vettes have. Corvettes should be about curves, not straight lines. This car has 37844 miles on it. I bought it in September of 15 with 36103. As you can see I have worn it out. I had let it be known that I was looking for a C5. After looking at several over a period of months our local dealership called with this one. The car had/has a carfax that revealed a "frontal damage" in 2015 but the car looked great. I took the car and put it up on the rack at a local shop and I could find no damage other than one place that it looked like the front lower air intake had been repaired. I made the offer, bought the car, and outside of installing a battery have not worked on it. The car is top notch. Drives great, tires are new, and has a lot of add ons. The heads up display is nice and all the buttons work. Car is detailed and an eye catcher at all the shows I have had it to. I have had many Vettes and thought I needed a C5. At 57 with leg and back surgery..............not really. Thus the 1741 miles in 2 years. I can get in fine with the top out but not so much with the top in. I'm going to relist this at 14K At that price it is a steal. This is more car than can be bought or built for 14K anywhere and I hope it goes up to a reasonable figure. I have other projects I wish to pursue so off it goes. Bid high and bid often, feel free to ask questions. I see no signs of any mechanical add ons. While I did not meet the previous owner I was told he was older. The car is in great shape and I think he did anything he could do himself that came from someplace like Eckler's. As probably noticed it has really nice floor mats, rotor covers, console cover, steering wheel cover, red insert lettering, chrome at the exhaust tips, etc. It also has a battery tender. I think he only did improvements that he could handle bolt on wise. While I never got around to it I would probably take the steering wheel and console covers off.
