Vehicle Detail

1975 Ferrari 308GT4 Dino Every once in a while we come across a car like this. It was pampered and coddled then put away and forgotten for many years. The owner parked this car one day in his garage, disconnected the battery, put a car cover over her and did nothing else. This car's original paint is in very nice shape, its leather interior is near perfect. . Dashboard looks great and gauges are functioning properly. Leather interior is in excellent shape, small wear marks on drivers side. The architecture of this car's 3.0 liter lightweight cast alloy V-8 engine with its 5 main bearing, flat plane crankshaft is shared with other Ferraris of this era. It is equipped with 4 Weber 40 DCNF downdraft carbs and 5-speed manual gearbox. Long neglected by Ferrari aficionados this Bertone designed coupe is finally being appreciated by serious collectors and prices have been moving up rapidly. Known History: Car was purchased by its current owner about 15 years ago, driven very sparingly (perhaps only once) and then parked in his garage. Mileage on Virginia title is 40,896 and is listed as ACTUAL. Mileage on odometer is 41,178. Title is clear. Pirelli tires appear in good shape and show very little wear. Wheels near perfect. We received the car from the customer a few months back and performed a full service, including the critical and expensive timing belt renewal. Other recent repairs performed: Fluid serviced, change engine oil and filters. Cleaned and tuned carbs. (Carbs not rebuilt) Replaced all drive belts. Replaced original exhaust system with stainless euro spec system. Replaced steering rack. Full brake service performed. New brake calipers and hoses. Car starts and drives nicely. Shifts beautifully. Gearbox syncros are perfect (even 1st to 2nd gear synco) Known issues: A/C currently inoperable. System is complete, all critical components present. Old Cassette tape playing radio - speakers disconnected.. Drivers side electric window operable but very slow. Drivers side seat belt reel acting up. Rust repair detected in door sills see photos. Carbs were cleaned and tuned but not rebuilt, runs a bit rich and slight miss on overrun detected yet she still starts right up, idles perfectly at 800 rpm, and accelerates briskly. A few small micro blisters are evident on front hood. They do not show up in photos. Rust is always an issue with Ferraris of this vintage. This car has some rust issues. Rust spots have been repaired in door sills and traces of this work are evident. Due to these issues this car is being relisted with a much lower reserve. The underside of the car is very straight with no signs of rust in frame. See pictures. Additional pictures on web site. As you can see from the photos the car was recently detailed and is in beautiful shape. What appears to be original paint is not perfect but still looks fabulous. Prices of 308 Dinos have been moving up quite briskly as of late. This is an opportunity to get a very presentable car at a bargain price. We are selling this automobile on consignment and it is available for viewing - Car is for sale and auction may be ended at any time. Clear Virginia Title.
