1980 Fiat Spider 2000 in Black/Very Dark Brown. Engine runs strong. The transmission works well and the car is fun to drive. This car is actually quite quick and passing on the freeway is easy and sounds great. This is a car I cared for and planned on keeping and continuing to restore but I am selling my house and can’t keep it. Bottom line: This car is not a show car but looks nice, has nice paint and a reliable engine. Cooling system cycles properly and does not overheat. Please ask me specific questions you have. Car is registered Non Op. in California. Odometer shows 53,000 miles though it is probably more like 60,000 as the speedometer and odometer stopped working after I put in a new stereo. The car has very little rust for it's age and the body is straight. There are a few very minor dings in the body. Most of the original undercoating is intact. You should keep in mind that this is a 37 year old car and there are lots of little issues. The suspension is squeaky, the dash is cracked in a few spots, the clock is fogged, the wipers move slower than they used to. This is a car that I get compliments on but I am trying to be transparent and therefore want to be upfront. There are many of these Fiats on the market and most have serious problems i.e. worn out gears, overheating, massive rust etc. I have put over $3500 into this car. There are no tears in the upholstery, you can plug your smartphone into the stereo, you can see through the vinyl rear window, the engine starts instantly, car does not lose oil.
