Vehicle Detail
(I've been told on ore than one occasion that I make things sound worse in my ads than they are in reality, so keep that in mind. I just like to be truthful and give full disclosure.) I have to sell my beloved Volvo XC70, 2006 with 177,000 on the odometer. This car is currently getting light use, but has just returned from a trip from Albany to New Mexico and back, which is accomplished without a hiccup. I've also been using this to make a little pocket-money money with Uber and my passengers have often complimented me on how comfortable and clean the car is. PLEASE come and check out the car for yourself before you bid. Once you win this auction, you own this car, which is being sold as-is, where-is. By bidding, you agree that you have examined the car, or that you waive your right to examine the car prior to purchase. Starts first time, every time. It runs straight and true down the road; the brakes are awesome - the pads and rotors were changed about 10,000 miles ago. The tires are Cooper CS4s and also have about 10,000 miles on them. I consistently get 70 - 80,000 miles from a set of these tires. (Yes, I drive gently.) The transmission is smooth and shifts like new. The A/C blows nice and cold, and the heating system works as it should. The heated seats work. The electric seats work, but the passenger side one has a missing knob thanks to my teenaged son playing with it. It has one full-function remote key and one valet key. The New York title is clean and in my name. The inspection runs out early next year, and I just attached a scanner and it says that it would pass inspection right now. The oil I use is Royal Purple fully synthetic, and it's changed every 5,000 miles. I only use this ultra-premium brand of oil and good quality filters. I was going to fix the few things wrong with the car and keep it, but I've been offered a deal on another car that I can't turn down and I need the money for the purchase of the new car. I have just developed a bad wire or ground somewhere. If you're a half-decent electrical guy, you'll be able to find the problem. I now have a couple of lights on, and they came on at the same time. As you can see from the pictures, I have a warning that the brake system has failed. THE BRAKE SYSTEM HAS NOT FAILED. The brakes work as they should. The ABS warning light is on but the ABS works. The cruise control doesn't work. Find that one break, and you'll fix the problems. The rear wiper doesn't work. It has power, but doesn't sweep. On my New Mexico road-trip, I came out of a restaurant to find that someone had pulled the trim partially off the front left wheel arch. (See pic. A 10 minute fix.) The stereo works but the front speakers do not. The rear speakers work just fine. I never cared because I listen to music on my ear buds. The car is about 30 minutes east of Albany just off Rt 20 in New Lebanon. Someone's going to get a great deal on a car. Fix these problems and you'll have a fast, safe and fun car that should last you another 100,000 miles
