Vehicle Detail
Some bidders may recognize this Triumph from an earlier auction that closed with a winning bidder at $14,900. The car is being relisted due to a non-paying bidder, a nice gentleman from FL whose wife contacted me within hours of auction end stating that her husband would not be following through, but she was kind enough to reimburse the eBay fees. So you have a second chance if you missed it the first time, but please be serious and more importantly, ask your wife BEFORE you bid, not after! And don't let the selling price scare you...the reserve is set much lower to encourage bidding!Ebay's allowance of 24 photos does not allow me to show the magnificent beauty and detail of this final year of production Triumph TR6. First, and importantly, this car is FULLY DOCUMENTED with all factory & dealer docs including original bill of sale on British Leyland window sticker. (See photo included).A finer example of a 1976 Tahiti blue TR6 would be difficult to find. This car's body was totally disassembled with all bumpers and lights, top and interior & dash removed for a full repaint including under the hood and in the trunk. (I have a full set of photos each stage to show it), and repainted in gorgeous Tahiti Blue. Originally the car was Russet brown which just did not do the car justice, so a full inside and out, under hood & trunk repaint was painstakingly (and expensively) completed. There was no rust anywhere on this car! All solid fenders, rockers, floors, etc. (see photos showing carpet removed from floorboards). In addition, ALL rubber seals and parts were removed and new ones installed, including the windshield seal, hood buffers & seal, trunk seal, inner & outer door seals, door jamb surround, side post seals, etc. New factory style custom wood dash by the finest craftsmen at The Roadster Factory. New dash top, ashtray, & hardware!Interior is factory beige with new carpets, new seat tracks, door panels, upper door cap trim (factory type), etc!New high quality convertible top installed onto restored top bows with all factory type new rubber seals at upper window area, and top frame to windshield seal.Mechanically this car is excellent, with an engine that runs like new with that smooth purr heard only from a TR6 six cylinder. Exhaust system totally renewed! The transmission shifts as smooth as glass through all gears. The brake booster & master cylinder were renewed. Much more but far too many new parts to recall or list!Factory wheels with new stainless beauty rings. Kuhmo tires of proper size installed versus the Michelin redlines because of improved drivability and handling characteristics.NO expense spared on this car. Don't be fooled by cheaper offerings as you cannot reproduce this car for the price with all parts and labor completed on this fine vehicle!Bumpers are original and I elected not to re-chrome them, so they show some light patina from age.Grab this opportunity to own a FULLY DOCUMENTED, RUST-FREE, NEVER WRECKED, pristine final year 1976 TR6 while you can!Terms: I am offering the car as any resale vehicle 40 years of age, with no warranties, expressed or implied, but have disclosed to best of my knowledge. I welcome serious buyers to come view the car prior to auction end. All sales final after auction close. I have clear title in my name that will be sent to you after full payment. I will assist with your chosen transporter, or drive the car home! Deposit of $1000 by Paypal, with the balance due within 10 days by cash, wired funds, or Paypal if you add fees. Pick-up within 2 weeks unless arranged otherwise prior to auction end.On Jul-05-17 at 09:03:15 PDT, seller added the following information: Good news update...I pictured a scratch in the front right fender that occurred upon front bumper installation. That has now been repaired with touch up paint of the same color! No longer evident but eBay does not allow a replacement photo after bidding has begun.
