Vehicle Detail

1967 Chrysler Imperial Crown Convertible. A true survivor classic with 97k miles. This car has been in storage for several years. Somewhere between 7-10 years. It is not in running condition at this time however appears like it would not take much to get it running. I recently replaced all the ignition components however it does not seem to be getting any gas. Tank, carb and fuel pump most likely need cleaning. I do not have any further time or funds to spend on it. The engine turns over fine and has plenty of spark at this point. Nothing seems to be leaking on it and the engine compartment is clean and all components seem to be intact. The belts look to have been replaced at some point as well. The oil and antifreeze look clean. The interior is in good condition but does show some normal wear and tear for a 50 year old car. The driver seat has a split in the leather however the rest of the leather is in good condition. The carpet is in excellent condition. The headlights, tailights, trunk light and glove box light all work. Driver side power windows works and the passenger side window works as well. The rear passenger (small) window does not work. The radio even works. This Imperial was not equipped with Air Conditioning but was equipped with auto pilot (cruise control). The dash board is perfect with no rips. The convertibile top works great up and down however will need replacing in the near future as the canvas is stretched from age and does not seal tight over the windows. The tires and hubcaps are in great condition and the majority of the chrome shines nicely. The trunk area is in good condition with the original spare tire and cover. The trunk carpet is fragile and will eventually need replacing to be perfect. The paint is in good condition and shines like new on the sides of the car with a very nice black pin stripe. The hood and trunk are faded from the sun and will need attention as some paint is chipping off. There is a very small amount of rust bubbling through the paint behind the rear tires on both sides but not noticeable from 10 feet. I purchased this Imperial from an older female who claimed to have owned it for over 25 years. It was clearly under coated heavy in the past at some point as the undercarriage and engine compartment are coated with black undercoating. It was an item she needed to liquidate so I took on the project knowing there were very few 1967 Imperial convertibles made. I have cleaned the car up to show its potential however it is too much of a project for me at this time as time and funds are at a minimum. This is a rare car that will reap huge rewards in the future as these cars restored are selling for a very high dollar. My loss is your gain. It is not running at this point however I am able to assist with loading the car on a trailer as I have a tractor at my residence. I have described this car to the best of my knowledge and am willing to answer any questions as well as add more photos if needed. The bidder/buyer is encouraged to ask as many questions as possible as I want the buyer to know exactly what they are purchasing. The reserve is set very fair and low. I do not believe it will take much to get this beauty up and running and while you drive it you could give it the TLC to make it a true classic. Please read the entire ad and know what you are bidding on. Do not ask questions please if the answers are in the ad like " are the tires good". This is a 50 year old car that needs a little TLC to make road worthy again. Do not bid if you do not have funds to buy. Buyer responsible for all shipping costs but once paid in full I have no problem storing it inside until you arrange pick up. Thank you and good luck.
