Vehicle Detail
2012 Loaded VW EOS Executive (highest trim level). From there, it has additional options like the tech package with full dash screen display, XENON headlights, headlight washers, I am the second owner and bought this in 2013 from a banking SVP that didn't like to drive it to work with the top down (her loss!). She gave me all the service records from her ownership period and I have all receipts from mine. With teenagers driving and a bunch of car shuffling going on in the family, this one has to go. Extras include a full set of winter rims and General snow tires. These have 3 seasons on them, but plenty of tread left as I only drove it around 3K per season from November-April. There is a complete set of WeatherTech mats (front and back). It does have a 1 1/4 inch trailer hitch which has only been used for a hitch bike rack - never towed anything with it. See the picture of the original window sticker for a complete list of features and options - leather, bluetooth, parking sensors, etc There's a new set of Pierelli tires on the front (March 2017) on the front and the rears are about a year old (taken off for the snows in the winter, so just one summer on them. Brakes were done, including vented rotors at around 45K, so plenty of life left there. The Dings: There are two small items that keep me from telling you this is flawless: 1) there was a small tear (about 1 1/4 inch) in the leather in the passenger's side seat that has been filled using a leather repair kit. It looks "OK", but a professional could do a better job than I did. The good new is that it is barely noticeable and its not going to get worse. 2) Stupid owner (ok that would be me) was putting an AC window unit in a bedroom above where the EOS was parked and I dropped an adjustable wrench on the hood. There are two small dings that are noticeable only at certain angles and lighting (I couldn't even get a good picture). I've pressed them out from the bottom side of the hood, but if they bother you, a "ding and dent" guy could probably make them go away completely for short $$. All in all - a great little fun car with many summers (and winters) to go! June 10 Update - I've added two photos of the hood dings and the seat repair. It was hard to get a pic of the hood so I circled the dings - one is about the size of a dime, the other a nickel. Seat repair is a close color match, but as you see, not perfect. I'm sure someone with more of an artistic eye or a pro could do a better job, but I just wanted to seal it up and keep it from getting worse. Someone asked me what caused the tear and I really have no idea - just looked down one day towards the end of March and there it was. All I could think of was something sharp was on the seat and someone sat on it.. Also - there's a bottle of VW Spezial Gleitmittel lubricant which is used 2x a year to coat all of the rubber seals in the roof. Also a little bottle of touch up paint and clear coat that came with it. The windscreen that goes behind the back seat is unused along with its bag/case. Finally, while I had it detailed for the pictures about two weeks ago, pollen season with the top down here in MA has negated THAT detail. I will have the interior done again prior to pick up. June 11 Update - I was just outside lubing up all the roof seals and noticed one additional ding just behind the passengers side door - less than a dime, but I've uploaded a picture. Also there's some minor curb rash (wife!) on the summer rims - winter rims are fine - but nothing too noticeable from a few feet away. Accordingly, I have dropped the Buy It Now to compensate for any ding repair and the seat repair. (If you're running comparisons, note that the winter rims and tires that are coming with it cost me about $1200 and the trailer hitch was about $300 to buy and have installed). JJ
