I am the second owner of this vintage BMW, owning it for over ten years. It was my daily rider in New York, and I have used it in conjunction with a sidecar at times. I recently used the bike for the last two months to run errands while my other vintage bike was being refurbished. It starts on first kick, you can even kick start it with your hand if you wanted to. The miles are original miles, the odometer has not spun over yet. It was well taken care of when I bought it, and I have garaged it when I am not using it. There are some rust from being in NY for a few years, but has been in the dry New Mexico climate for the last eight years. Mechanically it is sound. I have photographed the rust on the chrome pushrod tubes, which seems to be the ugliest part of the bike. However it is not refurbished or repainted. There has been minor work done to it, carbs and points, and thats about it. It comes with around $4000 of extras which allows it to be a good touring bike. This includes: OEM tire pump, Hella turn signals, newer rear and front solo seats, Euro saddle bags, large six gallon touring tank, and either a Wixom or BMW fairing. It will need new tires (it has the sidecar tires on right now, which work for around town).
