This is a very nice clean solid HONEST original 60's convertible that runs great, has excellent power and drives like a new one. Automatic transmission, power steering. The second owner is a member of the Buick Club and has decided to pass the last of his collection to the next caretaker. IS THAT YOU? Buick V8 engine is the legendary Aluminum V8 with 4 Barrel Carburetor. This is the engine that Mickey Thompson put in his 1962 Indianapolis 500 Rear Engine Race car. Original Grease pencil marks done on the factory line are still visible under hood. FOUR NEW tires just mounted! New convertible top cylinders installed. Check the body with a magnet! It is a solid car! Paint thickness has been tested with a Mikrotest materials thickness gauge. As for this car, it has ZERO rust and is quite original. ALWAYS a California Car, built in the Southgate California Buick Assembly plant and purchased new in northern California. One repaint that is more than a decade old and still glossy as the day it was done. When looking at an original California car, you will see smooth metal and not much undercoat. You will see age and in areas that were never painted, there will be a redish/brown film that can be easily removed. Inspection of chassis, doors, lower rockers, trunk wells and any place where there could be problems is encouraged and welcomed. Nothing to hide here. This is a nice solid car.
