1979 Honda CBX

This 1979 Honda CBX was in storage for over 25 years. When it was purchased by the second owner the bike had 14,800.0 miles on it. The owner disassembled the entire bike (not the engine) and painted it And reassembled it with new tires, chain, cables, brakes, and installed a 1981-82 CBX fairing color matched to the 1979 ruby red paint. In the 5 years since this was done it has been ridden less than 1000 miles. This is an early production CBX manufacture date shows 4/78. The bike is very hard starting when cold and comes in 1 cylinder at a time. It runs well once started but has a rough idle and the usual clutch chatter at idle. The paint came out very nice and looks to be accurate to the original color but the stripes were hand painted and not perfect. It has a 6 into one exhaust. and the 1981-82 turn signals. We have the original exhaust that is in rough condition with minimal rust. We also have the original headlight mount and 3 of the original turn signals ( 1 front and 2 rear). The forks seals were replaced but show some seeping. The bike is being listed by the estate of the second owner who passed away last year. I have described the bike as best as I can.
