There are choice’s out there, but most seem to be lacking in one major thing that started the look for an SUV… and that is room. Yes, I love the SRT8 Jeep and the X5M is a really great option also, along with Range Rover SVR, but take in mind most of those SUV’s offer very little room over their brands performance models. Let’s face it, if it were about anything other than room you would have a M3, Porsche 911, Audi S4 etc. etc. BMW has been one of the only true Full Size SUV’s that not only has three rows of seating, but also offers their amazing M-Sport option along with a fire-breathing twin turbo V-8 that is as mild mannered or as Devilish as you would like, thanks to their Driving Dynamics Control set-up. I’m not going to tell you that it will beat lap records or carve canyon roads, but it will haul you and you occupants comfortably and in style from point A to point B, and when you drop them off…. Put it in Sport Plus mode and have some decompression time. The example you see below is about as outfitted as you can take an X5 50i. I have listed the stand out upgrades to the standard unit below.
