Vehicle Detail

1976 Corvette Stingray - great project! I'm looking to sell my 1976 Corvette Stingray. It's a project in need of TLC but a great foundation for a nice driver. I picked it up this winter after it had sat for while - it had no brakes and wasn't running too well. The good: - Low mileage (93k) that appears actual - Complete new brakes all the way around - New rear axle bearings- New Edelbrock carb- Starts, runs, drives, shifts, and stops as it should- Engine runs smoothly with no unusual noises- Nice rallies with matching Goodyear Eagles (about 90% tread) - All glass is good and both windows work- All lights and turn signals work - VERY solid overall - floors are good as is the birdcage and frame - Aside from the obvious paint damage, the remainder of the body and paint are in very nice shape The bad: - Before I bought it, the paint on the drivers side door and front quarter was damaged when a car next to it in storage caught fire. NO structural damage to the fiberglass or underneath but the paint was obviously blistered and damaged. - Front and rear bumper covers were removed by the previous owner due to damage and cracking (I have a replacement rear cover)- Needs an exterior mirror on the drivers side- Interior has wear consistent with age (see pics). It's mostly complete but the seats and door panels have some cracks and the drivers door is missing the grab handle. The carpet was originally brown but has sun faded to a greenish shade. - Passenger side window seems to have an issue with the track. It goes up and down but needs some help to line up correctly. - It could stand to have a new valve cover gaskets, transmission pan gasket, oil pan gasket and front/rear main seals. No major issues but there are a few drips here and there, and it should be done after sitting.- I've noticed a drip from the steering box ** PLEASE NOTE - THIS HAS A SALVAGE TITLE DUE TO THE FIRE. I have not yet had it inspected for a salvage rebuilt title to be issued. For buyers outside of Ohio, please check on your state's requirements for inspection, issuance of a title, and registration. It most likely should be trailered due to the salvage title. All in all it's a great project but I've lost interest and don't see myself finishing it anytime soon, and I don't want to spend the money to have the work done. It could be driven as is once inspected. I'd rather it go to someone who will get it back on the road. Sold as-is with no warranty expressed or implied. I have described this to the best of my ability but please don't assume anything - ask questions if something is unclear or I didn't mention it. Pick up in Worthington, Ohio 43085 within 7 days of auction's end. I am happy to work with a shipper but all costs and arrangements (including quotes) are the sole responsibility of the buyer. I reserve the right to end the auction early due to local sale. Bidders with zero or negative feedback, please contact me prior to bidding or your bid may be cancelled. Full payment (cash, cashier's check, or other certified funds) due at time of pick up. Ohio salvage title ready to transfer and I can assist with having it notarized. Thanks for looking and good luck!
