Vehicle Detail
I bought this car with the intention of building a hot rod. I have since had two children, and have had to put the breaks on that project. I replaced the front bumper due to the original had some cracks on the lower side. I have not had it painted yet. My original plan was to replace the hood with a cowl hood and then have the whole car painted. The clearcoat is peeling on the hood and there is some fading on the hood, roof, rear bumper and spoiler on the trunk lid. I have replaced the headlight lenses as the originals were yellowed. All 4 tires are new and have less than 1500 miles on them. I had a front end alignment done after replacing the tires. The battery is about a less than a year old. I have replaced the distributor cap and rotor, plug wires and plugs. I replaced the orifice tube line on the A/C, and had recharged. The interior is in great condition. The odometer and trip meter stopped counting the last time I put fuel in and reset the trip. The parts store sells a gear set to fix this problem, but I have nother had the time to do so. I have put approximately 100 miles on it since this happened. The engine runs good, and does not use any oil. The transmission has been serviced and had the shift accumulator springs and pistons replaced. It shifts good and positive every time and does not have any slippage. The tires probably need to be rebalanced as the shop that mounted them used balance beads instead of traditional weights, and has some vibration. This is a good car and I hate to let it go. Unfortunately I do not have the time or money to continue with my project. My 1 and 2 year old kids have changed my priorities.
