2004 VW – Phaeton – 4.2L V8 ** Please perform all due diligence work and ask all questions BEFORE placing an offer or purchasing. This includes research regarding the repair work needed and shipping arrangements. ** Non-Running Condition Offered: As-Is - For Parts or Repair ** Clean Title In Hand ** Well maintained family vehicle. We have had the car for 10 years, 2nd owner. Maintained on time by local VW\Audi Service Technicians. Non smoking car. Mechanically it is in excellent condition. Like new all season tires. All of the vehicle systems and electrical components, buttons, lights, etc... are in perfect working order. The interior is extremely clean with some minor wear marks and here & there scuffs that are to be expected. The leather is in very nice condition with no rips, tears, stains or repairs. The front seat bolsters are also very good condition with no cracking, light\discolored spots or excessive wear. The vehicle comes with 2 keys (fobs), owners manual, original full sized matching spare, jack and tools and the rear foot rests. Currently the vehicle is immobile and in computer 'lock-down' mode. The central operations screen\computer (VW Part #3D0 035 654 BK) has failed and needs to be replaced. This has been confirmed through vehicle diagnostics. This was 'the straw' that is forcing this sale. It will need to be towed from its current position. It is a non-roller. I am happy to help with shipping in any way and can facilitate short term storage while waiting for the carrier\arrangement. Other issues with the vehicle: - Rear windscreen is cracked, it is not leaking - Passenger seat cup holder is stuck down - Front passenger seat control cover is missing -All four wheels have scuffs and curb damage The exterior of the car is also in excellent condition. In late 2013 it struck a groundhog causing some light damage to the lower front end. The repair work included a new front bumper cover, spoiler, fog light assemblies, front shield, radiator, radiator supports, left and right pressure cylinders & brackets, wheel well liners, and all associated hardware. While in the body shop the rest of the vehicle was gone over to remove a couple of parking lot dings and to have some scratches repaired and re-painted. All repair work was completed through the local VW dealer at 124, 535 miles in January, 2014. After the exterior repair and cosmetic work was completed it was driven another two years until the central computer failed in March of last year. Current mileage is: 137, 635. The car has been stored since then with the intention of putting it back on the road. We have all maintenance and repair records since taking ownership. I am happy to help to answer any questions.
