Vehicle Detail

2006 Porsche Boxster S, service done at Porsche of Houston for first 60k - independent mechanic in West Texas until recently. All service records, books, both keys etc in glove box. I purchased this car 2.5 years ago from leif Johnson ford in Austin, tx and was told it was traded in by a local surgeon who purchased it new. It has the clear bra on the front hood and mirrors so has almost no rock chips at all. The underneath of this car is flawless, I've never bottomed it out, and doubt the first owner had either. (I am the second owner). This car is a BLAST TO DRIVE. I have a 2010 911 carrera with a 6 speed manual, and not only is this one more fun to drive, it is hard to differentiate the power difference between the two. The boxster will put you in your seat, and chirp the tires shifting to second. Drives really really sweet. As for the bad (I'm going to go all out and point out every little flaw as to avoid complaints after the sale - though there is certainly no quirks you wouldn't find on any other 10yr old Porsche. T There is small, but at certain angles noticeable damage on the drivers side where the door meets the front fender (as shown in picture), the rear tires are worn probably 30 percent life left, there is a strange stiff spot in passenger seat where chemical was used during detail. Convertible top operates fine but hesitates midway and needs physical assistance as a fitting is loose or something (though still completely closes and opens). The front hood struts do not stay up well. The water pump was replaced at 50k and was just replaced again as it failed prematurely. Aside from what's been listed, the bose stereo sounds great, and there are no rattles etc when driving. The car still turns heads like any Porsche does, and sounds oh-so-good with that flat six engine mounted exactly where it should be. I changed the oil myself the last two times and split the filter to look for any metal shavings etc (pointing towards the infamous IMS issue) and found nothing. Mechanically this car is very sound. It has been driven very spirited the whole time I have owned it and I believe I can accredit much of it's mechanical soundness to that (these cars love to be driven) Call me for details. I can video chat a test drive etc. and certainly don't mind answering any questions you may have. This was my daily driver until 5 months ago when I purchased the 911 intending to make the boxster an extra car. It has been meticulously maintained, I am Selling due to a move and will not have the space. This vehicle is as-is! Thanks for looking Caleb - 432-213-6523 text or call is fine!On Mar-28-17 at 13:06:31 PDT, seller added the following information: UPDATE PLEASE READ: I am moving now and the vehicle is being stored in a family members carport. I also had a lien on the vehicle up until last week with State Farm bank. I payed it off completely and am expecting the title by the end of the auction, though as of monday the 27th, they claimed it could take up to 10 more days to receive. I do have proof of payment etc. and any current/future bidders that are uncomfortable are free to ditch the sale. I will be posting updated pictures of the body damage on drivers door, though it is still not very visible. Also, I forgot to include in description that the door handle on the drivers side operates fine, though has been loose since I purchased the vehicle (it never bothered me, but again want to make sure everything is disclosed in the sale) If you're familiar with 987/997 porsche's then you are probably familiar with the loose door handle phenomenon. I will attach a picture to what it looks like, if you google 'loose door handle 987' there is also plenty of info to see exactly what I'm talking about. Thanks again! On Mar-28-17 at 13:16:16 PDT, seller added the following information: I will be present with title keys etc upon pickup of the vehicle, though I won't be around for video chats etc any longer. I did take a few videos of test drive, acceleration and walk around of vehicle that I am happy to email to anyone curious. On Mar-30-17 at 14:55:39 PDT, seller added the following information: I've noticed it shows 'helotes' tx in listing. It is located in Andrews, Tx. Again call or text me for a video of a test drive etc! Really good opportunity to get a gorgeous, fast car for a great price..
