Vehicle Detail

I bought this from Taber Pontiac on Jan 17,1966 yes, I have owned this for over 51 years. Now our family has to pay high medical bills and Attorney fees. It has the original 36 hp engine anf4 speed tranmission. the transmission is the original no synchro on first gear. In 1966 I put rust color seat covers on. Under those covers is the original upholstery. no fuel gauge that year but has the reserve tap. tires were new in 1979. the car was last painted, I think, 1979 the car does need new paint. and gaskets it has minor ripples in fenders. any paint shop can handle that. I never intended to restore it . My desire was to keep it as much as it was when I was in high school. this auto is a wonderful candidate for a full restorationOn Mar-12-17 at 09:41:02 PDT, seller added the following information: update I will post more pictures today of the worse in response to buyer questions. the car is a driven and used 60 year vehicle that had never been restored. it was driven daily by me 1966 through 1971 when I bought corvette convertible. car stored in grandfathers warehouse until 1979 then to present in my garage. last time licensed was 1992. so I have not driven on street. tires have lots of tread but were bought 1979 so must be replaced starts and runs . driven in farmer field in back. bottom is good. I never damaged body but original owner was rough on it. all bumper bent a bit ,bumper brackets pushed in some rust in those areas but not rust through, can be pulled and grinded and reweld. all fenders small dents creases dings body shop routine, paint bad when I got in 1966 . I had repainted in 1979 needs paint again. headliner was cut and sagging 1966 it is original one and need replaced now. original seat upholstery under seat covers . I put covers on in 1966 because original pleats were coming unsewn. no idea of how they are now . would not be surprised if ok. sides of interior are original material and nice . engine and trans original and not been rebuilt. hood small hole due to metal fatigue vw used one hinge later went to two. one side flexed more than other. was like that in 1966 and common. needs weather seals surface rust gas tank although stored empty. on the 57 and earlier bugs the brakes were very small style. in 1958 vw made bigger over the years. also swing axles so you be careful on curves. heat is air that goes over hot engine so not great for sinus . headlights dim need new 6v lamps. horn not beeping, minor to fix these. original paint green. damaged original owner said around 58 or 59 they wanted it black. . painted all over jambs, dash . was not repainted until I had in 1979 . so painted once since 1959, not bad. remember this is a 60 year car that has not been restored. it has had one owner for over 51 years. I really want someone to fix it up and be proud owning it as I have spent most of my life doing so. believe me I have tried to answer all questions honestly. the day I load my car up to ship away will be a difficult day indeed.. thank youOn Mar-12-17 at 10:02:18 PDT, seller added the following information: sale to us 48 states only. bidders must positive feedback and at least five feedbacks pleaseOn Mar-12-17 at 11:06:47 PDT, seller added the following information: sunday afternoon about 105 pm central time I am stunned at the interest and have spent hours trying to answer all questions. .
