Vehicle Detail

1964 Corvette Coupe, 327/365HP, Four Speed One of the BEST, and least-expensive midyear projects to be found! 99% complete, with many/most original, quality parts included. You are bidding on a excellent garage find/project 1964 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe that was recently discovered. It has been in storage since the early/mid 1990's. This car was purchased in California in the early 90's as a non-running project and it has not been started/driven in approximately 20 years of dry indoor storage. The body gaps/fitment are actually quite nice. Due to the fact that the car spent it's entire life in California, the frame is devoid of any rust issues, and is astonishingly solid. The frame rail end caps, kick ups, birdcage, etc are all excellent, and without issues! The only thing that has been noticed while looking under the car is that the front left frame rail has been involved in a past accident, apparently down very low. It appears to be pushed back approximately one inch. I am guessing a competent frame tech could pull it back in to position. It's clearly very old damage, and in the scope of a restoration, would be repaired, or replaced with potentially partial frame section, or a new custom frame if you are planning on building a restomod. While this was not disclosed to me when I purchased it, I want to make sure any prospective owner is aware of it. Rarely has any Corvette survived 50 years without a single accident, so truthfully, this doesn't bother me at all, but I want to disclose it. It has 20+ year old repaint and it will likely be repainted if someone is going after a show car type refinish. As it is, it would be presentable enough if you wanted to put a polishing wheel to it, and touch it up a bit, the car could be a fun car to drive and enjoy as it is!! While this car is currently white, it was originally delivered blue/blue. The body fitment is darn nice, and bonding strips are in all four corners of the car. The front header/headlights, etc all align, fit well. The car appears to have been repainted, but never fully reassembled since the repaint was completed. This car currently has a complete counter exchange 512 motor in it and we are including a correct 870 block as well. While we have not attempted to start the engine currently in the Vette, we can state that it spins freely. Based off the untouched tachometer and oil pressure gauge/dash cluster, it would be fairly easy to deduce that this car was born as a high horse/365HP Vette and potentially putting back to a stock restoration if someone desired! Additionally, it would be a great car to turn in to a restomod if you want to put a full custom frame under a Corvette. We all know how hard NICE mid-year Corvette bodies are to find these days! The brightwork/chrome/trim is in nice condition given the fact that it's original. The front and rear bumpers appear to be nice originals as are the gas door, door handles, emblems, etc. The car has stamped steel wheels with trim rings and caps. Tires are new and appear to have little to no mileage. The interior appears to be all original componentry. Much of the interior is in surprisingly good condition. Dash pads, trim. etc are all very nice. Door panels are quite nice, The tach, speedo, temp/alt/oil pressure gauges and radio are all in place, complete and in good condition. Same goes for interior trim, exterior stainless, and all other pictured parts. I would call most parts well above average in condition. Some new parts are included (weatherstrips, etc). Glass, stainless, grille, exterior trim all in remarkably, usable/restorable condition! Vehicle retains original trim and VIN tags, see pictures. Last three digits of VIN are redacted from all views as all of my auctions are. The actual VIN will be gladly supplied to the high bidder upon completion of the auction. Car retains an original, clear California title. If you are looking for one heck of a nice project mid-year Corvette Coupe, for restoration or modification, here's an excellent opportunity for a collectible car that you can finish and enjoy and be well under the market! The whole story in text, and the pictures are EXTREMELY representative of the quality of this car. I have been a licensed collector dealer in Ohio for over 20 years, and I describe my cars fairly and accurately. I have sold well over 200 straight axle, mid-year, and steel bumper Corvettes. You are welcome to send me a message through eBay and I will be happy to call you. I can help to arrange transportation within the US, or or potentially even overseas. Vehicle is for sale locally and the auction may be ended at any time. Contact me if you have any questions on this before bidding if you have concerns. Serious interest ONLY. Sold as is, where is. Cash is the ONLY form of payment due at pick up. No other forms of payment are accepted. Too many fake checks, etc. Email with any questions you may have on the car, terms, etc. The car is located in Galena, Ohio, approximately 20 mins northeast of Columbus. You are welcome to come inspect prior to bidding. If you want to inspect, this should be done PRIOR to bidding or agreeing to a purchase.
