This is a 1972 Honda CT70H K1. It has the 4 speed manual transmission. This is also the only year that true hydraulic front shocks were used. This particular bike is mostly original. All the candy ruby red paint is original. It does have some rust, scuffs, and scrapes, but is not in bad shape for being 45 years old. Some of the other components have been repainted such as the wheels, headlight bucket, speedo, etc. The seat is original with a replacement seat cover installed. I have the original chrome seat trim with new mounting studs, but decided not to install it. I will include it with the sale. I've sold quite of few of these and I must say, this is one of the nicest riding CT70's I've had. I've been working on these since the mid 70's. All work was performed by myself and my wife says I'm anal about things. I dropped the price $500.00 so someone is going to get a great deal! The wiring harness was replaced, as was the ignition switch, headlight dimmer switch, front brake switch/cable, and speedometer cable. The battery was replaced with a new AGM battery. The horn and all lights work as intended. Handlebars do NOT fold down as the knobs are seized in the handlebars. That does not affect performance, and most people never fold them down anyway. The engine was just totally rebuilt with all new seals and gaskets, piston, cylinder, head, clutch, carburetor, points and condenser. It runs like a clock and starts up first kick. Tires still have a lot of life in them. Chrome has some pitting and patina. There is no title! Bike will be sold with "Bill of Sale" only. Bike is for local pick up only.
