This is a 1978 GS750 pro built in England. I built this for myself ( I've been in the bike trade for over 30 years building, restoring and customising a wide range of motorcycles) so no expense was spared as it was 'a keeper'! The whole bike, engine, chassis , electrics etc etc, every nut and bolt has had attention. The engine was stripped, vapour blasted, barrels painted, engineered, meticulously cleaned then re-assembled. It had new valves, guides, pistons and rings. New crank and gearbox bearings. Rebuilt clutch. Big ends were checked and fine. New cam chain and tensioners. Electronic ignition (Boyer digital), carbs stripped, cleaned and rebuilt/re-jetted with K&N filters. The chassis is all totally refurbished. The modified frame has been painted in a tough 2K mil-spec paint, the wheels in a silver version of the same paint. All bearings (wheels, swing arm, steering) are new. Front brakes are oversized Aprilia discs with Triumph 4 pot calipers. Rear brake is a stock disc with late model GSXR caliper. All new wiring with Deutsch Tec connectors. New alternator, reg/rec and gel battery. All lighting, starter, horn, indicators etc are controlled by a solid state unit (bike is wired for turn signals but non fitted) Speedometer and tacho are modern Smiths electronic units. Horn, turn signals, start and hi/lo are controlled by st/st custom push buttons. Stainless steel custom exhaust feeds two old school mega exhausts giving a deep, throaty, but not too loud exhaust note. Custom seat unit and modified GS tank are painted in a 2K silver with metallic orange stripe. Tank has a Monza filler and Pingel high flow tap. The bike has 15 miles on it only so the motor will need bedding in properly. It runs really well, sounds gorgeous and is as close to riding a new yet classic bike as you can get.
