This is the fourth one of these I have owned over the years. Another red '79, a black 79 and a less inspiring 81 or 82 "touring model". Typically Honda smooth, durable and dependable. I wouldn't hesitate to ride it coast to coast to coast. I bought it from a Florida seller two or three years ago that had three or four others. Clearly a committed CBX guy. It had just been returned from long term loan to a New York professional Honda mechanic buddy. During the buddy's tenure he apparently went through the bike, motor, and transmission stem to stern. It runs beautifully and everything functions exactly as it should. For me, the attraction of these motors has always been the sound. If you can't own or ride one, go somewhere and listen to one.
