Vehicle Detail

Selling a 2005 Honda Civic Hybrid 5-speed manual that has been my reliable daily driver the past several years. Please read the description below and refer to the pictures carefully. I spent about 5 minutes vacuuming out the interior but did not wash/clean or detail the car in any way before the pictures. I've tried to be as accurate an honest as possible to ensure it goes to a good home.Engine:The engine runs well, and does not leak or burn any oil. Could use an oil change in the near future, last changed back in August, which I did reset the maintenance light. I have kept an eye on the spark plugs and air filter during ownership but never replaced either. I cleaned out the EGR valve/passages a couple years ago. An extra EGR gasket is included.Hybrid system:IMA light (with check engine light) just recently came on a week or so ago after I let the car sit unused for several days over Christmas. I replaced the IMA battery in early 2012 with a used one that has not thrown any codes since then up until a few weeks ago. The battery still charges and assists fine.Transmission/Clutch:Its shifts though the gears fine, the clutch was replaced around 90k by the previous owner. There is a clicking noise that comes from the drive train during low gears/low speeds, most noticeable when accelerating up to 20 mph or so. My hunch it is the throw out bearing making the noise. I have been driving it with noise for over a year and it has not gotten an worse. The fluid was changed a couple years ago with OEM Honda fluid. About ½ quart of extra fluid is included with the car.Body/Paint:It has hail damage all over from the major storms here this past spring. It's hard to make out in the pictures but its definitely there. Most noticeable on the trunk lid in the rear view pictures. None of the glass or lights were damaged from the hail. The paint is faded places, mostly on the rear passenger side. The front bumper is also faded and cracked up bad (not from a major accident, a piece of metal siding /roofing blew across the highway which I hit hard a couple years ago). Also the front passenger wheel well liner is damaged, and currently has some zip ties holding it on. There are a few zip ties in places underneath on the engine splash shield as well. Some paint is chipped off the rear bumper. Overall it looks rough, but not ridiculous.Tires/Wheels:The tires are 4 matching General Altimax RT43, with about ¼ inch (8/32nd) tread. DOT dated early 2014 (~0514). The wheels are clean with some minor scuffs and scratches. The spare is in good shape along with jack/accessories/torque wrench.Suspension/Steering:The shocks were replaced this past summer, I did not have it aligned afterwards. The car goes down the road straight but the steering wheel is off center just a hair. In 2012 I replaced the the troublesome front compliance bushings with aftermarket solid polyurethane ones, they are by far more durable but do tend to making creaking noises, which is noticeable at low speed turns / speed bumps. I also replaced the strut mount bushings back then but the look like they need replacing again soon.Brakes:All the brakes work good, along with parking brake. I was going to replace front brake pads when I replaced the shocks this past summer but they still had a good amount of material left so a new set of front brake pads are included.Heat/AC and Fan:The heat/AC and fan work great. The AC compressor is little on the noisy side, but it has been like that the entire time I have owned the car. The cabin filter was replaced this past summer. The rear defroster works good.Lights:All the lights on the car work with exception of the back light of the climate control ECO button and one of the back up lights does not come on sometimes. The headlights are clouded up a fair amount as shown in the pictures but still functional.Windows/Glass/Mirrors:Passenger front window will only go down 80% of the way and stops and will come back up fine, the other three windows go up and down 100%. The windshield and other glass/mirrors on the car are all in great shape. The tint on the windows is is OK shape, there is a little bit of peeling up on the drivers window and some small bubbles in the back window. The power mirrors work fine and are clear. The wipers are solid blade and are in still in good shape.12V battery:The 12 volt battery was replaced in June 2014. There is an aux power cord running off the battery, for the heated seats, sub-woofer amp, rear 12V outlet and connector at rear seat.Cruise:The cruise control works well however the cruise control button has lately seemed to intermittently get stuck or not work just right, pressing on it firmly several times resolves it when it has happens.Interior:The interior is clean and in very good overall shape. The front seats have an aftermarket heated seat kit, that work very well and look stock. Also the driver seat has a manual air lumbar support which I installed when I added the heated seats. The steering wheel is worn somewhat, and has this odd chunk missing on the back side at about 7 o'clock (I think from a sharp ring of previous owner). A couple of replacement steering wheels are included, one is really nice and the other is fair. The airbag recall was performed about a year ago. The center console latch is broken but it stays in position fine without it, an extra latch part in included. All the floor mats are in good shape except the drivers one, but a like new drivers floor mat is included. Also there is a rubber sound barrier installed behind the rear seats which helps reduce road noise. This would have to be removed to get at the IMA battery, which is easy as it's not glued in or anything, but something to note.Stereo/Radio:There is a double din JVC KW-XR810 radio installed, painted flat gray as a theft deterrent. It has Bluetooth for hands free and streaming from a phone. The buttons will stick on it sometimes causing it to act up, specifically the power/source button, preset 6 and next track/right button but other than the preset 6 these same buttons are on the remote and don't have to be used. The remote is mounted and power wired into the steering wheel to act as steering wheel controls. It still uses IR to a sensor mounted under the wheel. The Bluetooth microphone in the headliner. The main speakers are OEM Honda. There are two 8” sub woofers mounted in custom shallow boxes under the front seats and a small class D amp that is mounted under the dash.It also has a JVC Sirius/XM adapter/dock/antenna installed using a inactive Sirius SP3. You can easily replace the radio with a lifetime one (which are for sale on eBay separately or I can include the lifetime one I've been using for an additional $250).The overall stereo sounds really good. I have the original stereo/parts that will come with the car.Keys:I have two functional keys for the car and one remote key fob. Neither key is the original or has an immobilizer chip in it.There is a third key (original) which is attached unseen to the immobilizer sensor under the column trim, essentially bypassing the immobilizer. (I had a bag stolen with the original second set of keys/remote about a year ago when I was on a trip, and just decided to replace them with generic keys, hopefully that makes sense).Hitch:There is a class 1 tow kit installed with 1 ¼ hitch receiver and comes with a euro 2” ball receiver. Also there is a 4 wire trailer connector. I have used it dozens of times with a small utility trailer, which works well.Other info:Vin JHMES95675S019785Sold As-isGenerally get MPG in the low 40sOdometer currently at 173,182Have clear Texas title in my name.Prefer cash or can do PayPal with additional 3%.Local pickup or I can pickup from the airport. I would not hesitate to drive anywhere with it, I drove to upstate NY without any issues this past summer. Still a reliable driver that I would still be using but I just got a new car.Feel free to ask questions,ThanksOn Jan-16-17 at 07:29:22 PST, seller added the following information: Added Info/Response to Questions 01/16/2017 It is a non smoking car, the electric power steering system works fine. I read the check engine/IMA codes with a a very basic scanner, and get the following-NA-P1433-P1600 (pending)-P1433 (pending) I have gotten several requests from people wanting to come inspect and test drive the car. I honestly don't have time to facilitate everyone in the next couple days. Sorry about that... Thanks again
