PARTS / REPAIR ONLY. This 1991 Mercury Capri includes the hard top and many new parts (all available service receipts will be provided). In the late summer of 2016 it was diagnosed with terminal rot in the driver's side A pillar, compromising the integrity of the unibody, and we've finally given up on it. The terminal issue was discovered as we were trying to sort out a puzzling mystery with the power steering, which is way too heavy on one side. We bought this car in early 2009 from a friend who was not the original owner and it has had extensive work. The steering rack and pump are new, along with many, many more parts, including but not limited to: Transmission, Driver's Side Door, Starter, Alternator, Exhaust from the manifold back including Catalytic Convertor, Rear Tires, Vinyl Convertible Top, Windshield, Front Bumper, Left Headlight Bucket and Lifting Assembly, Rear Trailing Arms, Radiator, Rear Brake Lines, All Brake Shoes and Rotors, All Wheel Bearings and Struts, Inner and Outer Tie Rods, Clock Spring, Air Bag Sensors, all belts and hoses, many small interior parts, the removable Trunk Floor and many, many more. The body was painted (by Maaco, so there's overspray everywhere) and every panel had rust removed or repaired. A small rust patch on the underside of the frame, rust on the radiator mount, and rust holes at the backs of both front wheel wells were all professionally repaired. The battery went flat before being disconnected, but before we stopped running the car on a regular basis, it started, drove and stopped very reliably. It was a daily driver until the fatal problem was discovered. Shipping or pickup will be solely the responsibility or the purchaser, and is not included in the sale price.
