Vehicle Detail
EXCELLENT mechanical and electrical condition. New (@9000 miles) engine. Independent front suspension. Telescopic shock absorbers. Carpeted compartment behind rear seat. Upgraded electrical system. Blaupunkt radio. Wide whitewall tires with good tread. Padded convertible top in great shape and refurbished headliner. Rechromed front and rear bumpers. Front three-point seatbelts and added rear seatbelts for safety. Protective weatherproof cover. 1971 body pan adds strength to convertible body. Cosmetic: Car was painted two years ago and looks great except there is a small crack on top of passenger door "sill" (see pic) and a crack and several imperfections on hood; subpar quality carpet with glue runover in passenger cabin; windshield washer does not work. For sale by owner. Renown Auto Restoration only provides a place where vehicle can be inspected and picked up. I encourage inspection prior to commitment to buy. My bug is almost 53 years old and is sold "as-is, where-is, with all faults - and 'bugs'." This is a sacrifice. I have substantially more than $30,000 invested in this car (but I never planned it as an "investment" anyway). Consider it a bargain for yourself and Have Fun! You (and GRETEL) WILL be noticed every time you take her out for a spin around town!!!! On Jan-01-17 at 19:24:15 PST, seller added the following information: Balance of payment shall be made in the form of readily available funds (preferably cashier's check) and due at time successful bidder picks up the car at Renown Auto Restoration in San Antonio, which shall be no later than 7 days after close of auction.
