Vehicle Detail

This vehicle is what it is: a 15 year old, working, driveable car. I want a 4x4, which is why it's time to sell this. I'm looking to sell it efficiently, and in the interest of doing that, I'm starting it at the bottom cash price and listing the essential info that I think you need to know about it to save us all time. Please do us both a favor and read thoroughly before contacting me or placing a bid. It's all info I'd want to know if I was considering buying a car. About the Title thing...it's not as scary as carfax makes it sound. In fact, I'm not sure why they list it as a "concern," since I am freely stating that it has a rebuilt title. If I was claiming it was a clean title, then you could be concerned. ;) Anyway, it's fully explained below. It has a "rebuilt salvage" title, because it was in a fender bender (I did not repair it, so you can see from the photos that the extent of the damage was minimal and solely cosmetic in nature), and the insurance company wanted to total it (because it was an older car) and force me to salvage it, which would have left me too little money to buy another car, so I just took it up to get it re-inspected by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and get a rebuilt title so I could legally drive it again. The accident did absolutely nothing to affect driveability, and obviously the Highway Patrol agreed. The insurance company just didn't want to pay to repair a 2001 sedan. It's an automatic transmission, power windows and locks, as you can tell from the photos. It has good front tires for winter, but needs rear tires soon. I am not a suspension guy, but it looks to me like it might need either struts or springs on the back soon as well. It has a brand new battery in it (like, just a few weeks ago new). It has 240,247 miles on it. In the winter sometimes you need to let the car warm up a few mins before it will shift smoothly. I did change the tranny filter, fluid and gasket about a year ago, which helped. The check engine light is on, but it has a current valid Ohio E-Check. If you live in Ohio, just put a $8 can of SeaFoam fuel treatment in a tank of 93 octane gas before taking it up to get it checked next time and you should be good (I've done it twice). There are other items that do not work or have wear and tear (but are understandable for a car of this age). I won't try to list them all, but a few: Driver seat does not move forward or back, no working radio or CD player, crack in the windshield, driver's side door handle broken (still works of course), etc. Like I said, this car is what it is, and is priced accordingly. Serious bids only, please. Cash or Cashier's Check only, due at time of pick up. Vehicle must be picked up within 3 days (72 hours) of auction end, or deposit will be forfeit and car will be relisted. Buyer is responsible for picking up/shipping vehicle.
