The last Datsun pickup made , 1983 was the first Nissan . Here is a pretty clean and straight base model short bed with original paint ! It hasn't been detailed to hide any thing . It has only had a new tinted windshield and rubber , new shifter boot installed . Other than that I just drove it . A previous owner parked it and it sat for a few years , thus the low mileage 147707 . Speedometer works great and it is the million mile speedometer so actual miles . That works out to only 4,220 a year ! Runs pretty good for a 35 year old not being rebuilt or any thing , starts right up every time cold or warm . It has the 22 z motor with solid lifters and 8 spark plugs on a 4 cyl. ! It shifts smoothly no grinding , shifter bushings are nice and tight . It's about time to readjust the valves , simple wrench and feeler gauge job . Doesn't leak oil-grease-water , inside or out ! No cracks in the dash but seat is ready for recover and a little wear in floor mat under drivers feet . The headliner is in nice shape . Has new shocks on back but front needs new shocks . Steering is nice and tight and drives a straight line if you let go of the wheel . Brakes work well and brakes in a straight line with out pulling one way or the other . Everything works but windshield washers and head light dimmer relay could use replacing . When you turn on headlights they come on in high beam no matter it's in low beam or high beam position BUT you just let it warm up a minute , the lights work like normal just slow to dim from high beam . Heater-fan-wipers-turn signals-dash lights-gas gauge-temperature gauge-door windows-locks and parking brake all work . The older after market stereo works when it wants to , needs new stereo . I have used Rust-Oleum Wipe New ReColor on dashes worse than this and it removes all the fading and bring dash back to original color and makes it look new again and I seen it the other day at Walmart $19.95 and it's well worth it .Tires have good tread , just old but handle and ride ok so I just kept using them . Unlike some of the older 620's it will drive down the freeway at 65 . Has couple rusty spots that haven't gone through yet worst on drivers side on bed seam in front of rear tire , most common spot on these 720's and vent grill at the bottom of windshield and a spot of surface rust behind passenger rear mud flap . Have a can of paint that is "very" close to same color for touch up , didn't want any thing hidden . Comes with a thick Original Datsun Factory Shop Repair Manual for you do it you self guys . Prime candidate for full restoration ! A drive down a winding country road it's easy to see why there are so many Datsun Clubs nation wide . She's 35 years old because new models coming out previous fall , so of coarse she is being sold as is but is still truck'n ! 1-541-294-5557 . Oh also found 2 original just like is in truck now inside door panels with door handle bezels in same stock color with no speaker holes to take it back to stock and a vent grill panel for under windshield with no rust , it's a different color that will be included in sale and go with truck .
