I'm selling this well kept TDI with a heavy heart. My children are grown and old enough to drive. I have a garage that only will house two automobiles and juggling six vehicles now has become a part time job. The most important car obviously is my well persevered diesel but with a used car lot of autos, it's hard to devote time to all of them. This VW came from the west coast so it's been aging gracefully. The car is by no means perfect as it is 20 years old but has never been neglected and repairs were an immediate priority. I had an offer on this car and I respectfully declined it as it was less than I have in maintenance costs. I noticed another TDI (wagon) for sale for not much less than I was asking and I'd be Leary of purchasing it ( no offense) and it was described as it needing much more work than I've invested. Folks, you can't get something for nothing- it's not reality. So here is a list of the maintenance performed recently.......I'm sure I've done more but this list is mechanic documented. ENGINE- Recent Timing belt, Fuel Injector pump,Crank position sensor, Starter, Coolant temp. sensor, Glow plugs, Glow plug Relay and harness,Valve cover gasket, "World"brand German battery,Block heater and Oil pan heater, Complete EGR assembly,New exhaust manifold flex pipe. SUSPENSION- Recent Yokohama tires, Lower ball joints, Lower control arms, Lower sway bar link pins, Front axles, Front and Rear Rotors and pads. INTERIOR- Re-upholstered drivers seat and back, New padded headliner,Ignition lock cylinder and switch, #109 Power supply relay. Thanks to all that have an admiration for these ingeniously built machines.
