Vehicle Description:Nice original California car with mostly original paint and original California blue license plates. Paint has nice shine and patina and metal is rust free with no bubbling at the bottom of the fenders, doors or quarter panels. Car is extremely solid. Front right fender was repainted sometime early in its life. Engine starts easily and settles into a smooth idle. Revs nicely with no knocks or ticks. Original carbs, original engine, original 4 speed transmission. 2 owners prior to me. Car shifts smoothly, brakes well, and accelerates nicely. Original glass, but does have a chip in center of windshield. 4 new tires, recent fuel pump, new speedometer cable, new clutch master cylinder and right rear brake cylinder, engine oil / filter changed less than 20 miles ago, recent front and rear carpet mats from Z car parts in Orange County, CA. Car presents well, and receives compliments from enthusiasts and previous Z owners whenever we take it out. Cons: Chip in center of windshield Top of front right fender has paint checking from where previous owner set a battery on the paint during charging, and battery leaked. Dings on both sides of car. A competent paintless dent removal firm should be able to remove 90% of them without issue. Car was pin striped from the dealer. I had the black pinstripes removed when I bought the car, but you can still see the etching of the pinstripes in some sections of the original paint. Car was originally equipped with air conditioning. Other than the compressor and hoses, all equipment is still in the car. Sale will include the compressor and accompanying bracket for re-install should the buyer choose to do so. Two small depressions on passenger side of roof panel….paint not affected. Hole on driver’s side seat, see photo. Original dash cracked due to California heat. Hard plastic dash cover included in sale, but I don’t care for the fit, so I do not keep it in the car. Due to California weather, could use new window weather-stripping. Original radio not installed but included. The car is sold as is with no implied warranty. I am not a dealer, just a guy who loves vintage cars. This is a nice 240Z that could easily be used as a daily driver, or a weekend cruiser. I am not promoting this to be a mint car or a fully restored car, just an honest 44 year old driver. If you would like to have an Ebay 3rd party mechanic check out the car I MORE than welcome it. Please have the car checked out before bidding and not after, if you intend to use that service.
