Up for sale is my father-in-law's 2000 Jaguar XK8 convertible with only 101,216 miles. He gave me the car when he bought his new Jaguar F-TYPE. It's a 2 owner car because I registered it in my name. I've owned this car for about 2 years. It has never been driven in the winter. I still store it in his garage during the winter months. The car runs and drives great! I put less than a 1000 miles in those 2 years. I recently had the car in for service. The following items are some of the major things I had professionally addressed:Replaced the ABS pump with a refurbished one.New wire harness for front wheel speed sensors DRIVE TRAINThe car runs and drives straight. It has POWER! 290 hp to be exact and it's a blast to drive with tons of torque off the line. The transmission is silky smooth without shift shock or any abnormal noises. The stock exhaust is great without any leaks. The rear does not make any noises nor does it drip. The car always starts and doesn't stumble, stall, or smoke when at idle or when revving. It sounds great! The engine doesn't overheat, smoke, or smell funny when cold or fully warmed up. BODYThe tires are only 3 years old and have about a 1,000 miles on them. The hydraulic pump for the convertible top was replaced right before I purchased the car so that has plenty of life left in it. The hydraulics were all flushed and changed at the same time I did the brakes. The glass all around is great! No nicks, chips, or scratches. The convertible soft top was replaced prior to my taking the car. The doors, trunk, and hood all open and shut as they should. No abnormal creaks or rattles. All locks work as they should as well. ELECTRICALAll speakers were replaced and upgraded when I took the car. A/C is ice cold, and all lamps, lights and electronics work. CD Changer in trunk and Cassette Deck work perfectly. Controls on steering wheel for radio and volume also work as expected. Includes 2 sets of keys and factory remotes. INTERIOR I replaced all worn and faded fabric on speakers and a pillars with premium black speaker cloth. All seats have been regularly condition with leather cleaner, and the driver seat has some wear. All other seats are in great condition. Overall the car is a great running car with an original drive train that has covered 101,216 miles highway miles. My father-in-law drove from Connecticut to Georgia 4 times a year or more in this car. I will also throw in the custom fitted car cover I purchased for the vehicle.
