Up for sale is this 2006 Crown Victoria P71. Mechanically sound, the suspension and chassis are tight and rattle free. Good gas mileage. Smooth ride with no vibration. Paint condition is an 8.5 on a 10 scale, no peeling anywhere. Engine is strong, serviced with synthetic oil every 5000 miles. Transmission shifts and functions smoothly, ice cold A/C, toasty heat. OEM AM/FM radio. Headliner in good shape.General Altimax HP tires have about 50/75% life remaining. Some wear at the driver side outer seat back hinge but no tears in the upholstery. Door panels are clean with no cracks. A few minor issues exist from when I bought it: Dashboard has three small holes from previous police equipment. Column shifter boot is torn but does not affect shifter operation. Driver side window tends to go off track near all the way up at rear upper corner. Overall, this car has plenty of life and belies its age. It was well maintained in fleet service before I purchased it. A reliable daily driver. Why am I selling it? I have two P71s but just bought a Tahoe PPV. One of the P71s has to go. The Unity spotlight is no longer on the vehicle. First model year for drive-by-wire.Replaced P71 steering wheel with one equipped for cruise control.Dealer ECU software mod.Daytime running lights, cruise control, auto door locks.X5 rear axle option (3.27 gear ratio) gets the big P71 moving more quickly vs. the more common 2.73 axle.
