Vehicle Detail
Offered here in dry storage, in its dusty state as found in this warehouse, is what appears to be a mostly complete early Triumph Bonneville in original condition, untouched in over 40 years since last registered in 1975. This bike is being sold just as you see it, in non-running condition. You should do your own research, as I am only guessing as to the exact model with my limited knowledge of bikes. Come view it or I will try to answer your questions, as I want an honest full disclosure sale. It is being sold with no warranties, as is, and the buyer should know that the title I am providing which is pictured, is clear, as I bought it legitimately from an estate, and the estate was able to locate and provide me with an old title that is unsigned by its former registered owner of decades ago, so may not even be alive still. He sold it to a now deceased Vietnam veteran who left it to his son, from whom I acquired it. The son is now a TV producer with ABC television, and had no use for it there in Burbank, CA! I did get a bill of sale from him and will provide a notarized bill of sale to the winning bidder, and will pass the old title on to you as well. It will be up to you to obtain title from your state. These old bikes don't come along too often, but I am not a bike restorer, so am selling several that came from his estate with a few old British cars I wanted. I will accept a paypal deposit of $150 upon auction end, with the balance due within 2 weeks. Transport is the buyer's responsibility, although I will assist in meeting a carrier and loading. Any associated fees with funds transfer on the balance should be covered by the buyer, except for the deposit required and payable by paypal within 24 hours of auction end. Paypal is acceptable with your added 2.9% for the balance owed. Low reserve! Good luck!On Sep-19-16 at 21:38:28 PDT, seller added the following information: Hello folks...The bike has met my low reserve. I have had a couple of bidders ask about whether the motor turns. I am not well versed in bikes, as I acquired this one in an estate along with a few British cars I was interested in. I was told that in order to determine if the motor turns, one would need to lift the bike off its wheels, and turn the back tire while in gear. It is still in storage at the warehouse, and I may not get to that, and my original intent was to sell the bike as 'restorable', and it should be obvious from the photos that this is just that, a good original "restoration bike" so it is best to assume that as I said in the description, it is sold in non-running condition. Not trying to mislead anyone here, so buy it assuming it will require an engine tear-down and re-build prior to use, which is what I would think any buyer would plan to do anyway. It has the makings of a great collectible being all original, mostly complete with matching numbers, and excellent bones. Thanks and I appreciate the interest! On Sep-22-16 at 14:38:39 PDT, seller added the following information: I have had a question regarding the inside of the gas tank. Using a flashlight, I observed no rust or old gas gel build-up. It is perfectly clean and dry. I was not able to post a picture because I have reached the photo limit.
