Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE RELISTED WITH LOWER RESERVE...This 1987 Ford Mustang GT convertible shows just 42,000 miles since new, and is equipped the way you’d want it (5-speed, convertible, red and gray). Paint and interior appear to be original, and in great shape for the car’s age. The car runs and drives very smoothly, and virtually everything works. It is kept in a climate-controlled garage when not being used. It’s fast, and it catches everyone’s eye. Included with the car will be documentation including a Marti report showing the car’s equipment, original selling dealer, and production figures; an original Mustang “do-it-yourself” repair guide; receipts and paperwork for repairs I have done; and a new Haynes repair manual. Repairs or improvements I have made include:Four new Uniroyal Tiger Paw tiresValve cover gaskets (oil leak repair) and intake plenum gasketRear brakes (wheel cylinders)Power lock actuator (passenger side)New custom floor matsNew reproduction headlights and parking lights (not installed but will be included) As with any car that’s a quarter-century old, it’s not perfect. Here are the areas to be aware of:There are a couple of door dings that should be easily removed with paintless dent work. The A/C blows cold, but blows through the defroster vents (suspect the HVAC mixing door is stuck)The passenger power window motor is stuck, so the window will not roll down – a new window motor should solve that problem. Overall, the car is in great shape – I hate to let it go, but I have a new toy on the way and am running out of space. The reserve is set at a reasonable price for a car of this condition. There’s still plenty of summer left to enjoy this one! I have a clear Maryland title for the vehicle. A $500 deposit is required within 24 hours of auction, with the remainder by wire transfer or bank check within 7 days. Buyer is responsible for shipping, but is located very close to BWI Airport in Maryland. Buyers with feedback scores less than 5, please contact me first.
