Vehicle Detail
VIN: 1FAHP60A93Y105948 Ownership History: The car was purchased from Paul Miller Ford in Lexington, Kentucky on March 12, 2003 with only 27 miles on the odometer. The window sticker price was $41.415.00. The car was ordered in Mountain Shadow Grey with an optional partial interior color accent seat leather package in Saddle for an additional $695.00. The car was originally purchased by the brother of the current owner and transferred in June of 2011. The car currently has 10, 700 miles but it will change as the owner is driving it this summer on short trips. The original window sticker, all factory manuals, and service receipts are included. Body: The exterior color of the car is Mountain Shadow Grey (2003 fashion color). Only 3165 were painted in this color for 2003. The car has never been in an accident and all of the VIN stickers are intact on the major body panels. There are a few small scuff marks on the driver side bumper from a parking lot incident. They aren’t too noticeable and can be easily be fixed. Photos show an enlarged view of the marks. Interior: The interior is black with optional Saddle color heated leather seats which give a nice contrast with grey exterior paint and is a rare color combination in a Thunderbird. The interior is in like new condition with no damage on the seats or interior panels. The audio system is the Ford audiophile sound system with 6 disc in dash receiver. Drivetrain: The car has a 3.9L 32v DOHC 280 HP aluminum V8 with 5 speed automatic transmission. The 2003 year model engine is more desirable than the 2002 Thunderbird due to a 28 horsepower and 25 lb ft torque increase. The car drives and handles flawlessly. The car rides on factory 17 inch chrome cast aluminum wheels with new Michelin tires installed 1500 miles ago. A new battery was installed by AAA in May of this year. Recent Repairs: The turn signal became inoperative two months ago. The car was subjected to a lengthly point diagnosis by two Ford dealers to fix the problem. The front electronic module was sent off and tested by an electronics firm and came back with a clean bill of health. The multi-function switch was replaced and the instrument cluster was sent off by the second Ford dealer to another electronics firm for repair. The cost for these repairs was over $1000. These fixes address the most common electronics issues of these Thunderbirds and will ensure that the new owner will have a trouble free driving experience for some time. Very few Thunderbirds have had this done and almost all will need these fixes in the future, so bear that in mind when looking at these fantastic cars. All lighting now functions correctly and the car recently passed the North Carolina annual safety inspection. Notes: Why buy a Thunderbird from a dealer with unknown service and ownership history? Everything is known about this car from when it was purchased new. Also, this car has only been serviced by Ford dealerships not Joe Bobs Garage. Clean CarFax available. Ask all questions before submitting a bid. All bids are binding and represent a contract to buy the car. I highly encourage you or your representative to come and look at the car before bidding. A bid is not an option to come look at the car and kick the tires afterwards.
