Greetings, all - I am very sadly offering for sale my beloved 2015 Chevrolet SS Sedan. She is specified with Phantom Black Metallic exterior, Jet Black interior, 6.2L LS3 V-8, Tremec TR6060 6-speed manual, and a sunroof and fifth rim (full-service spare, never mounted, still with the stickers on in the well). The sunroof and extra rim were the only options available ($900 and $500 respectively). Window sticker was $48,140 and worth every penny. Bought new in May 2015 from Sport Chevrolet in Silver Spring MD. 415 BHP, 415 lb-ft torque. This car is sweet, fast, and an utterly glorious modern sports-luxury sedan commonly referred to as the reincarnation of the E39 BMW M5 - Look it up, it's very much a thing (Google for "e39 m5 chevrolet ss" and your first hit will be the Motor Trend comparison test). 22K miles on the clock. She's fitted with heated and ventilated seats, special SS interior, 4-piston Brembo brakes all around, magnetorheological suspension "GM Magnetic Ride Control" (GM RPO code is still FE3, if you're geeky enough to understand that!), 9-speaker Bose nav/infotainment etc etc etc. The Brembos and MRC were added for MY2015. Fitted earlier this month with Yokohama Advan Sport A/S 275/35R19 rear and 245/40R19 fronts because the original-equipment Bridgestone Potenzas were just too soft. Total on that affair was $1001.25. This was the first car I've ever bought new and fully intended to keep it until my fingers seized. Unfortunately, a divorce, house-move, job change, and on and on mean I just can't afford to keep it any more. I received an "instant cash offer" from Kelley Blue Book for $32,051 and they also say $35,151 for a private party sale. To be honest, I'm less concerned about the $3K difference than I am about my baby going to a good home. I want this lovely automobile to be loved and cherished by a fellow car geek, for the fantastic unicorn that it is. This car is so cool that while filling the tank a few days ago, a GM SERVICE GUY - in uniform! - absolutely INSISTED it was a "very nice Malibu" - until he was forced to see the LS3 V-8 and the third pedal. Truly a fly-low/fly-fast sleeper. So- there you have it. Come and see, come and try.
