Low mileage 1979 Honda CBX I purchased this – first series - 1979 CBX in 2011 from a collector in New York. He purchased it from his friend who purchased it from the original owner in Florida. I imported the bike into Canada in 2011 as the fourth owner with a clear title. The 1979 model is the most desirable of the four years the CBX was produced. The bike is ridden regularly so the mileage at the time of sale will be a little higher than what is shown. The bike was 100% stock when I bought it. Work I have done to the bike includes: Engine dismantle, inspection and rebuild by a professional. Although this CBX has very low miles, I wanted to replace all parts which deteriorate over time which includes: new gaskets, seals, clutch plates, rings, chain tensioners, alternator and starter rebuilds. I also had all engine casings soda blasted and painted (Tim’s CBX paint);Inside tank clean and liner installed;Sport kit (this is a very rare kit as there are not many around) and includes lower handlebars, different foot-peg position, shorter cables and a front shock brace;Carb rebuild with a stage one jet kit - older bikes should run a little rich;New tires, cables, chain and sprockets;Front and rear brake caliper rebuilds and steel braided hydraulic lines;Front suspension rebuild with progressive springs. The rest of the bike is stock and in excellent condition.
