When it stops the radio comes back on. It may need some Holy Water sprinkled on it.” SPEAKERS X 4: “All good / No cracks / Clear sound” ENGINE ISSUES (THESE ARE THE ONLY THINGS WRONG WITH THE ENGINE): “1. The following engine lights come on: “Service Vehicle Soon,” “Service Traction System,” and “ABS.” The “Service Vehicle Soon” light I had checked at AutoZone. They said it was an air conditioning code and so I had the AC fuse replaced. It was one of those big black ones that go in the fuse box under the hood. This fixed the AC and I also had the coolant filled up but the warning light still comes on. It may just need to be reset. The “Service Traction,” and the “ABS” warning lights are likely due to the ABS Unit which will need to be replaced. The car makes a mooing sound like a cow which comes from under the hood toward the driver’s side. I took the car to four different mechanics including a dealership where each one changed out a different part, but after a few weeks after each repair, the car started mooing again. It does it mostly when going over a bump, turning, and especially braking. The brakes have been checked and I had the brakes and rotors replaced. But again, after a few weeks, the cow sounds started up again. When I was having new tires put on, the gentleman who pulled the car into the bay heard the noise and told me that the only thing it could be is the ABS Unit. This is the first thing you will need to get fixed because the mooing cow sound will drive you udderly mad. This is why I call it my Monte Carlo SS Bovine Edition. 2. When I had the tires put on, I had them to inspect belts and hoses. The mechanic reported that the serpentine belt is showing wear and cracks and will eventually need to be replaced and also that a coolant system flush would not be a bad idea either. 3. The car currently loses oil, but not dramatically. It is currently under recall to have the valve cover gaskets replaced. I called my local Chevrolet Dealership to make an appointment, but they said the parts for this repair have not yet come in and to wait until they call me. The winning bidder will be provided with the recall notice in order to have this repaired for free. If they call me before the car sells or is picked up by the winning bidder, then I will go ahead and take it up there for the recall repair. If not, then the winning bidder must address this issue. 4. The traction system makes noise when it is turned on but not when it is turned off. This typically happens during damp weather whereas the mooing sound happens in all weather. If you have the above 5 issues taken care of, one of which is free, then the engine is good to go. Nothing else is wrong with it. GAS GUAGE: “Unreliable except when first starting vehicle” RIMS: “Need cleaning due to brake dust & road grime / One rim has deep scratch damage but is still good structurally according to the shop that replaced the tire” TIRES: “New tires on 08-05-2015” TRUNK (INTERIOR): “Good / New LED trunk lights installed which light up the trunk quite nicely / Has one of those nets to hold things like grocery bags and such like that there”Oil / Filter change and chassis lubrication done on 07-07-2016 at mileage 181,478.Passed North Carolina Safety & Emissions inspection on 07-07-2016 at mileage 181,478.Tires rotated on 07-07-2016 at mileage 181,478. QUESTIONS WHICH MAY (OR MAY NOT) BE ON YOUR MIND:If I can’t pick up the car personally, can you recommend a good shipping service which charges cash on delivery? Yes. “1Flat-Rate” at 1-800-876-4888. Speak to Mike ( He’s got an Irish accent). The only information they will need is: Is the car driveable? (Yes) Where is the car to be picked up from? (Lenoir, N.C. 28645) Where is the vehicle to be delivered? (Your location & zip code) See how easy that will be? And I already answered two of the questions for you. You can call and get a quote so you’ll know if you can handle the cost of the car and delivery both. The driver will call you when the car is picked up and will call you again when he’s about an hour from your location. Just make sure you have the cash ready to pay the driver. What will I need to do if I am picking up the car personally? You will need to bring proof of insurance and a valid driver's license. If you are from out of state, then your insurance must not only meet your states requirements, but also those of North Carolina. Be sure you tell your insurance agent this. Otherwise, you will not be able to get a temporary tag from our tag office to transport this car. Basically, you (or we) will go to our tag office, which is less than 5 minutes from my location, get the temporary tag, put it on the car, and then you can drive it on home. Will the car make a long-distance trip? I am quite confident that the car will make a long-distance trip. You'll just have to put up the the mooing noise. Once you get rolling along, it stops. It only does it during low speeds.END OF QUESTIONSI check for messages twice a day, so if you have any questions or want to see the remainder of the photos, just click "Ask Seller A Question" and send me your message. The body damages listed above in red will not require replacing any parts. The front and rear bumper can be repaired by a good body technician and the hail damage can also be remedied.Damages are listed sufficiently in the description, however, Ebay does not allow for enough photos to properly document a vehicle. There are more pictures of the described damages which will be sent upon request.Full immediate payment is required through PayPal when purchasing.
