1970 Buick skylark 2 door post 455. GSX paint job. The skylark was originally a 350 two barrel but now has a Buick 455 4 barrel out of a 73 big car rated at 270 hp and 390 foot pounds of torque. Buick 455s are known as torque monsters. This motor is completely stock and not rebuilt. It was pulled from a 60k mile car. The engine has not been fine tuned, I have driven it maybe 50 miles since installed. There is a noise from the passenger side that is either a lifter or an exhaust leak. Either way the motor should be tuned by an expert before a long drive. I drive it to work twice a week weather permitting. Turbo 350 transmission shifts threw all gears. It has highway gears in the rear, non posi. The paint is a single stage acrylic urethane. Medium blue metallic. No rust on floor boards or trunk. There are a couple flaws in the paint, 2 mosquitoes landed on the fresh paint, 2 runs in the paint and some dings on the trunk lid that were missed during prep. The metallics shine nicely in the sun. Pros;-new paint, no rust on floorboards-mandrel bent exhaust -gas tank-new windshield -new seats front and back -new carpet-new tires, 50 miles on them-new spoiler -new Kenny belle hood scoop from TA performance -new rear wheel cylinders Cons-missing fan shroud -noise by passenger exhaust manifold. -mismatched torque converter (slow acceleration due to low stall and highway gears)-interior door panels are weathered and some interior lights need replaced. -no headliner. Great car, real head turner. I went on one car cruise and the other guys complained that their cars weren't even being looked at because everyone was looking at the skylark.
