1958 Mercedes Benz 190SL VIN# 7502565 This is a garage find 2-owner all time California car sold by Lloyd Pearson on December 17, 1958. This is a very solid car with only rust spot under the passenger side floor as shown on the photo ( I assume that the battery acid leak caused the corrosion over time). It is said that the car was in good running condition when it was parked last back in 1998 at garage storage in Riverside, California. Likewise, it was stated by the previous owner that the car had less than 14K miles since engine rebuild, and the Solex carburetor was replaced to Mikuni brand, however I do not have documents supporting it. Once I got the car, I replaced the fuel pump, ignition coil, disposed old gas and cleaned & sealed the gas tank. The car started after few cranks and ran fine with no sign of black or white smoke along with good oil pressure & compression across all cylinders. All the electrical is in good working condition except the tachometer. Likewise, the brake system is not working so I was unable to test drive the car for safety. The interior of the car is presentable for the age. My agenda was to restore the car to showroom condition, however I have no time or space for it now. The car comes with original hard top, original Owner's Manual & Service book, and old Solex carburetors. I have described the car to the best of my knowledge.
